Absolutely shut the government down. As was being discussed in an earlier thread most of us wouldn't notice the difference and border security is probably the most important issue at this time.
It still makes me sick that this is even being questioned, only the most foolish nation would not secure their borders to protect the citizens

it's a game of chicken. one side is holding out for border security. the other side is trying to open the borders.
if it means stopping the evil dems, SHUT IT DOWN. they are on record as opposing border security so the govt shutdown is on them

I’m all about security fence and technology being used or even using troops as needed. But for this to become a pressing issue after the GOP sat on its hands while in control of every branch is strange. It’s in the same boat as DACA and Immigration Reform when the Dems controlled 60 votes in Senate and every branch of government?
It doesn’t help either party to solve the problem politically. Their bases are rabid over this issue.
