Indeed it is and I asked for context in earlier post. It happened in 2025 on the famous old Roebling bridge across the Ohio River between Cincinnati and Covington, KY. It was an anti-ICE protest and not sure at all about any rocks. I don’t think there were ICE agents present.

Roebling Bridge ICE protester sues officers, city in federal court:

A man punched by a police officer during an ICE protest on the Roebling Suspension Bridge is suing two officers and the city of Covington.

Brandon Hill was one of 13 protesters arrested on the bridge a year ago, protesting the detention of Ayman Soliman.

He's suing Officer Zachary Stayton and an unknown officer identified as John Doe, in addition to the city in federal court.

Police ordered the protesters to move out of the road then quickly began making arrests, according to the lawsuit. The officers used Tazers and pepperballs on the protesters.
Hill says he was injured, missed six weeks of work and then was assigned to be on light duty, due to his injuries. He says he's suffered mental anguish and anxiety.

While charges were eventually dropped against the protesters, Covington says Hill is facing felony charges.

The city of Covington released the following statement.

The City of Covington is aware of the federal lawsuit recently filed by one of the individuals facing criminal charges related to the July 2025 incident on the Roebling Suspension Bridge.

As a matter of policy, the City does not typically comment on active litigation. However, it is important to note that the individual who filed the lawsuit is currently being prosecuted by the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office after a Kenton County Judge reviewed the evidence presented in the case and determined there was probable cause for the felony charges, allowing the matter to move forward through the criminal justice system.

The events that occurred on the Roebling Bridge in July 2025 posed serious public safety concerns. The City remains committed to ensuring Covington is a safe place for all residents and visitors.

They were on a bridge blocking traffic, protesting, refusing to follow orders and found out what happens when you protest outside the law. Charges were dropped, not because they were innocent but because it’s not worth the social media negativity towards the city and the police.

FOFO is always a valuable lesson. Feel for the police officer Hill, it’s a no win situation facing these clowns who think they have the right to disrupt other’s lives when they protest.
