The inflation percentages are wild, but even at the current prices....their stuff still seems pretty cheap.
Roughly $1 USD to 2 million Iranian Rials
Oranges are just over $1 USD per kg, which means they're like 50 cents USD per pound
Beef is 17.5M IRR per kg = around $4 per lb
Shirts being 8M IRR = around $4
Jeans at 16M IRR is around $8
Tomatos at 940K IRR per kg = around 25 cents a lb

I do believe there are many on this board who are exchanging their dollars for rials because they see an Iranian recovery after the US mid-term elections.

The difference is that if enough Americans resent the price of grcoceries and enough vote with their wallets, there will be new leaders. The cost of goat scrotum could rise 20,000 percent in Iran and it still wouldn't matter.

Yes, this is correct. You made my point. Above all else, economic anxiety gets people kicked out of office. But Trump overpromised on the campaign trail and said he'd fix inflation on day 1.Then he thought tariffs would be a genius move, and now his party is about to pay the price in November.
