It's the morning azan right now. That's the call for prayer, I doubt anything happens until at least after prayer.

This was militaristic theater on the part of Iran. A show of force so they can give the appearance of being strong to the rest of the world.

And we should not retaliate against Iran. But we should launch 15 strikes on their proxies not located in Iran.

If they want to de-escalate, they still can since it's
technically not them. And we make it clear to them (and the world) that actions have consequences.

And if they are upset, they get to make it clear that they are behind the proxies and responsible for whatever they do in the future.

The Pentagon has just confirmed that NO American troops were killed or injured.

Fox's John Robers is now saying this may be a "face saving measure".

Rocket were just fired to say they responded.

Probably to internal factions of the ruling group/theocracy..

clearly they are not playing to their general population

Whole bunch of conjecture in the media.

First off, if there were no casualties, this doesn't actually mean Iran meant for there to be none.

If they were largely on target but we successfully defended against them, then, in terms of response, the lack of casualties is irrelevant.

Everyone be guessin their asses off. We don't have journalism anymore

I'm guessing the Iranians went well out of their way to avoid U.S. troop casualties.

Fired off a bunch of missiles and hit no one. Ain’t that suspicious

It's not like you can whisper to the missile before it launches and ask it not to kill anything. If they hit inside the base they were aiming to kill people. We've been on high alert since we killed that douche in Baghdad and no doubt we had plenty of advanced warning considering how far those missiles had to travel. There were no shite contingencies in place to minimize casualties no matter where that missile hit.

And what if they were intentionally trying to avoid killing U.S. troops and accidentally killed one or two of them? Would that change anything?

Maybe the bases just moved over a few coordinates on their missile GPS systems temporarily.

I wish we could have a rough estimate of missile flight time, earliest possible detection, and a rough estimate of hunker down time needed.

There is a lot of open space within bases. Ramps, airstrips, and just plain open fields.
