As does the UniParty®. Yet even I am a little surprised that too many MAGA faithful seem so willing to forget that neocon fatigue is why Trump emerged as the head of distinct political movement 10 years ago.

Absolutely.

They went from anti war to neocon overnight.

I think the goal here, similar to Iran, is to take out key infrastructure that poses a national security risk. No boots on the ground, no forever wars.

And i’m completely okay with that.

What else would you call it? Regime change is what it will take to fully topple the Mexican drug trade. Both the provincial and national governments in Mexico are largely controlled by the various cartels that own the illicit drug market.

I did not realize you were okay with provincial and national governments being controlled by various illicit drug cartels. What a surprise.

It won’t be a war. Covert operations with special forces only last hours or a few days. Plus, they got it coming.

Why so many down votes?

Venezuela isnt even a major supplier.

quote:

Most illicit fentanyl in the U.S. comes from Mexico, not Venezuela, and is made with chemicals from Chinese labs. It enters the U.S. mainly through the southern border at official ports of entry, and it’s smuggled in mostly by U.S. citizens.

quote:

Venezuela is not a major importer of drugs to the U.S. While it plays a minor role in drug trafficking, most fentanyl in the U.S. comes from Mexico, and most cocaine comes from Colombia. The Venezuelan government has a corrupt system that allows military officers to be involved in drug trafficking, but there isn't evidence that it is engaged in organized drug trafficking to the U.S..

It increasingly seems like the loop is on endless repeat. We have seen a similar scenario before — as coincidence would have it — with the very same key player.

I’m indeed old enough to remember when Marco Rubio once was the darling of the Tea Party and was expected to ride into Washington D.C. on a white horse and slay the monstrous Federal Leviathan. Yet Rubio instead morphed into John McCain lite.

Rubio was deemed “Crown Prince” of the Tea-Party by the MSM? More accurate would be “Clown Prince” of the gullible.

It's not a new war.

It's the war on drugs that started in 1971.

Do you think we would waste time with a country that is responsible for maybe 250 metric tons when Colombia and Peru are producing close to 50 fold of that amount......that we know of?

There's a mass distraction going on .

Why the hell are we doing this?

Venezuela is not a primary country that imports drugs into the United States.

Other countries, such as Mexico and Columbia, produce and import much more drugs here.

Drugs are a pretext.

Why is trump doing this?

Regime change in Venezuela will have no bearing on drugs reaching the USA.

Venezuela isnt the problem. Y'all are falling for "regime change" bullshite once again.

You seem to miss my point. My argument is that we need to think critically about complex solutions to a deeply rooted problem that exists independently of the political fortunes of politicians in the Washington Beltway and especially the political will of the fickle American people.

And to state for the record, I’m not okay with cartels controlling governments at any level — and that indeed includes the fact that our nation’s pharmaceutical industry controls the very agencies created to regulate it. That actually reinforces my longstanding point that the main threat to continued Liberty in this once great nation comes not from foreign threats but from the entrenched and bipartisan reigning class in Washington D.C.

I believe you and I both want what is best for our country. That is why I think we likewise need to discuss realistic appraisals of how to best create accountability in Washington D.C.

"Weapons of mass destruction" was retarded enough, now we're dealing with a misplaced drug crisis to overthrow a regime.

Nothing changes. Swamp is undefeated.
