Sadly, this is a reoccurring theme with Trump. If he views a woman as attractive even marginally so, his entire perception of her is skewed.
Unfortunately, most of us men make the same mistake.

contextual understanding

Everybody who posts a complete thought about Theology here on the Religion Board posts with a guarantee that THEIR OWN interpretation of the Bible passage in question is the ONLY interpretation that achieves "contextual understanding" that is guided by the Holy Spirit.

Paula White is a Pentecostal Preacher whose ministry emphasizes parts of Prosperity gospel. She will be more than happy to cite the Bible passages that support her Theology.

Look, we all think that the other guy's church is wrong in some form or fashion. The Pentecostals are split between factions that believe in the traditional Theology about the Holy Trinity and the Oneness Pentecostals who say that Jesus Christ is One God and there is no Trinity. Pentecostals believe that THEIR church was founded on the Day of Pentecost when the Apostles began speaking in tongues and became possessed of other Godly Charisms. They will tell you that their Theology is a Faith Alone/Bible Alone and Bible-based Theology.

With regard to Roman Catholics - the Pentecostals don't like them and their False Gospel.

PS I think we can all find something that we agree with in all of the things that Paula White preaches - sure not all of it, but, something.

His main problem is that Trump is not a sincere Christian. I honestly can’t understand how some could take him seriously on matters of faith. It’s all for political advantage…

Most of us regard most other churches except our own church as a church full of people who are not "sincere Christian[s]", don't we?

Have you ever spent a few months reading this board and left with the impression that the Tigerdroppings Religion Board, as a whole, regards Roman Catholics as "sincere Christians", when many of the most vocal Religion Board voices post here that Catholics are not "Christian" at all? Of course, that would be understandable if you did not believe so.

So, your accusation that Trump is not a "sincere Christian" is not as edgy as you thought, is it?

Dr. Carson would be exemplary in this role.

A man of true faith and humility, and not a snake oil salesman.

The scripture tells you in the word itself who and what is being discussed. People who do not take time to rightly divide the word but want it to wrap around or fit into man’s doctrines are the ones confusing the simplicity of the gospel. This is exactly one of those passages that people want to hang around the believer’s neck to instill fear and works in them, rather than contextual understanding that Jesus is addressing false prophets, not those who have believed upon Jesus alone. He tells you who he is addressing in the passage itself, and yet STILL people use it to cast doubt in the believer as to who’ve they have believed upon and the salvation He has guaranteed to those who’ve believed upon Him alone for their salvation.

It is wicked and it’s all based on deception.

But Trump goes out of his way to invoke Christianity when he feels it’s politically
advantageous. That has nothing to do with a particular denomination. It’s just rank hypocrisy…

so was i, but as a catholic to be honest i never found much "christian" about protestants.

Then you never looked in the right place. With all due respect, some of you Catholics are more than a little bigoted when it comes to how you feel about Protestants. Due to South Louisiana being heavily Catholic, I see evidence of this almost every day.

Both "groups" have good and bad. Trust me, I wouldnt have let "Pope" Frances look after my dog. He was both a Globalist puppet and a very weird little man. But unlike you, I don't judge all Catholics based on what I discerned about him.

At the end of the day, it's all about having a relationship with Jesus. It's not about Catholic vs. Protestant.

If she does so, she'll be citing them out of context as do all prosperity gospel charlatans.
