Not just any black belt, 9th Dan. Goes to show how Taekwondo and the belt system are pretty much worthless. I’m a black belt in Taekwondo, and save for getting me out of the house and in shape as a kid, did basically nothing long term for me. Just wanted the black belt and got out of there.

I hate honorary gifts. At least this isn't as bad as celebrities or politicians getting honorary degrees from colleges.

That’s got to be from Kukkiwon. The thought of Trump going through his forms is funny though. Taekwondo do gets a lot of shite but if you combine it with learning some grappling and striking you can be pretty badass. Incorporating some of the kicks that you simply do not normally see can be devastating. My old teacher was part of the coaching staff for the US Olympic team. He also taught judo and wrestling. It was a well rounded school and lots of fun.

Or, you know... honorary board of director jobs with energy companies for your son that has no knowledge of the field... or honorary billion dollar contracts for your family members.
