How is this not a violation of the Logan Act?

Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) announces she has been working with foreign countries to supply oil to Cuba, in defiance of President Trump.
She says Trump's economic sanctions against the Communist regime are equivalent to illegally bombing the nation's infrastructure.

Makes no difference, when you have a spineless conservative government who refuse to hold high-level criminals accountable, you get the kind of blatant corruption we see out of democrats.

I like how she says "1 tanker has about 10-14 days of Cuba's oil needs" as if the tanker shows up, unloads the oil, and that oil just goes right into the market. What are the doing with this oil that hasn't been refined?
Poor George Washington's image on the flag behind her having to witness this embarrassment.

In what way is this beneficial to her constituents?

that's bullschit there's nothing she could do as a member of congress to encourage other countries to supply oil to cuba not a single think.
this is simply performative art to bolster her anti trump bona fides.

It is most definitely and in defiance of her country...Trump notwithstanding.
If Trump has any balls at all, he will send the FBI and arrest her.

Logan Act violation? Not a legal expert ,but pretty sure members of Congress can not engage in foreign policy with other nations which she just admitted to doing. I am not a legal expert ,but what she said doesn't seem legal to me.

Republicans aren’t spineless, that has nothing to do with why violators aren’t being prosecuted. Whether through bribes, threats, or blackmail, our politicians are pretty much universally compromised. Republicans’ desire to keep their dirty dealings secret far exceed the Democrats’ because they know their constituents will actually vote them out.
I know DJT doesn’t get to decide who gets prosecuted and when, but he does have enormous influence with the DOJ and how it operates. His greatest mistake in this term has been that no one has been or is being prosecuted for their crimes. Even if the DOJ doesn’t have a strong case, the prosecutions themselves would inevitably uncover so much scandal that it would be a win at the voting booths for the GOP.
