I think that is more of an "in country" mode for inside the USA. They aren't as worried about RPG attacks in the US.
I am pretty sure the beast is a much more specialized vehicle as that is what they take abroad (2 of them I believe).
Not 100% on this so it would be nice to hear from someone in the know.

He’s traveling so much and they only have (16?) presidential limos. They can only fly out so many. Those SUV’s are just as capable or he wouldn’t be in them.

Not positive about “the Beast” being exclusive for foreign visits but it is much more specialized and they do fly in 2 when deployed.
Now those suburbans are fun to drive. Heavy as hell but that engine can go. Had some with hatches up top you could pop open to shoot out of.
