It’s beyond a desire to be perceived as a contrarian. Everything he does is an effort to inflate his own ego.

Trump is in DC surrounded by people who make billions from exercising our military, and we all know whoever surrounds him and tells him what he wants to hear damn near always wins.

Is he wrong?

Would you rather see a Middle East under the hegemony of Israel and the Abraham Accords or one under the hegemony of Iran and its proxies Hezbollah and Hamas.

Trump is wrong on this one. Levin is a nut case. I use to like listening to him many years ago but his unhinged behavior recently calling out Tucker, Meghan Kelly, and others as anti semetic, is no different from those who scream racism to those who disagree with other policies.

Well, I just never recall you as a poster who necessarily ever spoke to anything being wrong with the present system that needed addressed or corrected.

Then you haven't paid attention.

I'm one of the few small government types left. By definition, that is anti-establishment and rejects the entirety of the present system.

Your main efforts in recent years are always generally geared towards pointing out what you see as the wrongness of MAGA types who have not liked what the current system has evolved to come and represent.

Within that context, I criticize those who have developed the philosophy that they need to wield that government to respond to perceived slights.

Iran has never had the capability to be a hegemon in the ME. Stop.

Ignoring Israel, Saudi Arabia and Iraq would never allow that

Now that Trump has spoken, the low-IQ MAGA bots will suddenly change their opinions and agree without a second thought

The right has become the left

Believe what they are told to believe and cancel those who dare to ask questions

The status quo was quad control with power divided between Iran (China client), Saudi (US client), Israel and with the US playing whack a mole sponsored by Raytheon.

A belligerent Iran kept Saudi and Israel unified as pro-US voices in the region.

If Iran ends in chaos it means neither needs us anymore and will likely become antagonistic towards each other as Israel pursues its aims to become a regional hegemon which is of course counter to Saudi interests.

If Iran ends without actual regime change they will lean even closer to China which is exactly what we don’t want to have happen and exactly where we currently are.

The best case scenario would be actual pro-US regime change which means the Middle East becomes a stabl-ish US sandbox but I believe that would require ground troops to accomplish.

The fact that this scenario doesn’t empower Israel to pursue their expansionist goals means I believe they’d actually prefer the Iranian civil war option which is why we heard their proxies like Lyndsey Graham say rebuilding/stable Iran isn’t our problem.

So no, I would’ve preferred no intervention outside of nuclear prevention.

Now we have to decide between ground troops to win all the way or walking away which leaves Iran in Chinas lap so I’m extremely pissed particularly with the messaging and lack of planning from the WH on all of this.

ANDDDD...the Teenager-in-Chief weighs in again!!

This time with a tweet so truly remarkably absurd and cartoonish that even PT Barnum would blush. What a doozie.

The "Peace President" punctuates his rambling, silly defense of rage-a-holic lunatic Levin by tooting his tin-horn:

"....I HAVE BUILT A GREAT MILITARY....TO ACHIEVE EVERLASTING PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH!!"

"Everlasting peace."

Riiiiight.

When was the last time we have successfully accomplished that? How many times have we tried in the past 50 years? Two dozen?

Rarely in a heavily Islamic nation that’s for sure.

Which again is one of the two reasons I didn’t want it to happen.
