A diesel export ban would be cutting our our nose to spite our face. It would give the US temporary relief while crashing the global economy, thus hurting us even more than the high oil prices already are

Of course they say doing an export ban is a bad idea. The oil companies are making a killing in exporting it. The crack spreads are at record highs. Who do you think decides who are on the boards of these organizations?

Definitely not one single person.
But I have had dealings with the API and know their makeup and their motives.
A lot of BS is being thrown around regarding fuel/crude prices.
