You're right, he didn't as far as the quote in the OP goes, but he needs to clarify on whether or not he thinks laws should be broken and that borders shouldn't exist (the Bible explicitly lays out borders of countries and their importance in Scripture), or otherwise clarify that he's going to be another infallible communist universalist like his prior predecessor.

I don't believe the U.S. is doing any inhumane deportations. We probably do the most humane deportations in the world.

This is dumb. The pope is not for open borders, he is against inhuman treatment of people.

OT yes, NT No

The Catechism of the Catholic Church follows the Bible on the teachings of the death penalty. It's allowed in certain circumstances.

Another fricking disappointment.

Idk I thought he danced around the topic pretty well and still came off articulate. Dude represents all Catholics. It’s not the same as running a country.

That is ridiculous

Does this statement reflect the Pope's capacity to reason? If so, Catholics ---- you are entering the Protestant zone and that saddens me

I agree with the Pope. Illegal immigrants should not be treated inhumanely. And I'm glad that they aren't being treated that way.

I disagree with you and the Pope. If you're breaking our laws, you deserve full force pain.

More specifically, the pope acts as Christ’s representative on earth, entrusted with guiding the Church in matters of faith and morals. This stems from apostolic succession when Jesus gave Peter the key to the kingdom of heaven.

Now with that said that does not mean the pope can error. He most certainly has and will in the future. He is only human.

What does that say about papal infallibly? Not much. The pope has only spoken infallibly two times in the 2000 year history of the Church.

Reponses to the media do not fall into infallible statements.

A rose by any other name will smell just as sweet.

That my pope!

Hold the frick up, Leo. These two things are not the same.
