An admission that Catholicism was first, and therefore, the church that Jesus established and granted infallibility and indefectability.

This is where catholics lose me. Saying your church is infallible is not only heretical as all people have sinned, but it is also incredibly dumb as you have centuries of bad behavior to examine.

Selling salvation
Protecting pedophiles
Murder
Adultery
Theft

These are all actions taken by multiple popes throughout history. Anyone that claims their church, especially one as old and expansive as catholicism, is infallible is simply a mindless drone.

i think sex is the best physical gift the Almighty gave us, but there isn't some sort of barrier that keeps the vain, effeminate, dishonest, envious, malicious and/or cowardly from doing it.

if i had to wager, i'd guess sinful sexuality is the number one reason for people going to hell.

Yeah I'm coming back around to not even being cool with gays. Proven slippery slope ("normal" gays did frick all to reign in the TQ+'s) and even "normal" homosexuality is abhorrent behaviour when you stop and think about it.

i'm with ya. i still want all souls to go to heaven, but i'm a lot less "live and let live" than i was 5 years ago.

Saying your church is infallible is not only heretical

The Catholic Church and Orthodox Churchs are "infallible" in one area only - and that is when promulgating our theological doctrines. The whole reason why this exists is because we believe that when Christ founded His Church, He sent the Holy Spirit to guide the Apostles and Early Church Fathers as they formulated Church doctrines. But for this guidance by the Holy Spirit, the doctrines would not be infallibly correct.

So, the one and only infallible thing about the Catholic Church that the Church alleges is this notion that the Holy Spirit guided the writers of the doctrine so that doctrine reflects the Will of God.

All of the men and women of the Church are Sinners.

If you can understand what I have written and still conclude that this is "heretical", then, I understand why you aren't a Catholic.

Anybody who would like to learn about what we mean by this word "infallible" can take a look at these well-crafted articles about it on Catholic Answers. It's better to be informed than to NOT be informed, when it comes to the important questions of life and death.

LINK

Christ's Great Commission and His Prayer for unity and oneness in the Church that He founded created this need for the Holy Spirit to guide the Church, so that the Theology promulgated under the guiding Holy Spirit would be Infallible to the end of time.

He’s right. The Boomer era of the Church has been way too filled with faggotry.

You make good points, but trust me I speak from experience. I spent a brief time in formation, before meeting my spouse. The current Church is a magnet for effeminate men and gay men. As bad as you think, it’s even worse. Think how bad it has to be for liberal Francis to say something. I know so many current good deacons who are married and would make good priests. These men would be a good start. Offer them a chance to be priests.

i'm not averse to married men becoming priests, and there are some outstanding deacons that would make excellent priests. would just rather we get rid of the homosexual stain in the Church as a priority. we will be taking on more freeloaders by allowing married priests.

Saying your church is infallible

*when creating binding dogmas/doctrines on matters of faith and morals. The individual members of the church are not infallible.

For example:

quote:

Selling salvation
Protecting pedophiles
Murder
Adultery
Theft

Are not things the church has ever taught as dogmas/doctrine. The church never taught the selling of indulgences for salvation, it never taught that protecting pedophiles was okay, and it explicitly teaches that all of the above are gravely sinful.

quote:

These are all actions taken by multiple popes throughout history

Yes there have been bad popes. Those popes also never managed to change church teaching. That's why they are considered bad popes, because they didn't always follow the dogmas/doctrines of the church.

quote:

Anyone that claims their church, especially one as old and expansive as catholicism, is infallible is simply a mindless drone.

The rule has always been that you can have any sexual orientation you want. But you can't do the act. Priests take a vow to abstain.

I’m fairly certain that Pope Benedict already said (in mid 2000s) that seminaries shouldn’t accept people with same sex orientation, correctly identifying the reason for the vast majority of the priestly abuse of minors.

Dont think it actually would. You have preachers getting divorced like the members.

Also what happens when there is a conflict between family and church who does the Priest go with?

I’m not opposed to changing the practice but it is absolutely NOT the only way to bring masculinity back into the church.

I am friends with dozens of priests and everyone one of them fits the definition of masculine.

The seminaries recruited figs and excluded normal men for decades. The fruit of that subversion is the light handed priests and sex scandal. Things are getting better slowly because they went to shite slowly.

Look at most under 30 priests today and you see Cassock wearing, incense burning, poker playing men behind the collar.

That is a very, very impressive fake photo. It looks very real.

Would you mind pointing out in your post that this photo is fake? Or would you rather promote a harmful Lie?
