My disappointment is that so many Americans believe Lincoln was a great President, I believe him to be the worst President in US history. More Americans died under is reign in combat than all other Presidents by a long shot, he trampled all over the constitution, and he destroyed the idea of state rights.

I don’t consider Trump to be great or awful. To be great or awful you have to accomplish big things, and Trump hasn’t really done anything that would create a long lasting legacy policy wise.

The question is absurd. Two completely different times with completely different problems to resolve.
Lincoln was an excellent President for the times, as is Trump, apparently.

Embarrassing a genocidal man like Abe Lincoln was the first Republican President.

I agree. Lincoln was a tyrant that butchered the constitution.

The South should have been allowed to secede peacefully as any state should.
All they had to do was win one war, but unfortunately for them they were defeated and dominated by people who were superior to them.

I disagree. He is revamping the judicial system with his appointments. That is definitely a long lasting policy.

agree with this poll.

Anyone who's willing to let well over half a million human beings die just to keep a ragtag band of states in the country he presides over is not someone I will respect.

This. Especially when it was constitutionally legal for those states to secede and form their own government

Trump didn’t shite on the Constitution. A lot of the slippery slope we’ve been on started with Lincoln and the Civil War.

More Americans died because Democrats couldn't handle losing power to the new party and they were willing to destroy the country in order to keep their fellow man in slavery's bondage.

GTFO blaming it all on Lincoln, Lincoln was the first President to fulfill these words...

"We hold these thuths to be self evident, that all men are created equal...."
