That’s not what the narrative about the poll say. It says no military involvement.

The military has been involved since 10/7.

Iran wants you dead too. You may disagree, but keeping Iran from having a nuke is America first.

I know your argument and I’m open to your argument. It’s a persuasive one. This is a difficult issue.

I’m sure a lot of people around the world want me/us dead. The question is what are the real risks to that reality and how do they weigh against certain actions, like military strikes and regime change, the costs of doing something versus not doing something or doing other things, and the possible outcomes.

Even in a worst case scenario (Iran gets a bomb), they have no way of striking the US with it. They have no missile, no plane that can reach us and the capability to do so isn’t on the horizon. Smuggling a nuclear bomb into the country would be extremely difficult with the radiation technology we have today. This is a threat to Israel, first and foremost, and protecting Israel is not at the top of the list of my priorities. I know that greatly upsets people who love Israel, and I’m sorry about that.

I’m not buying that this is going to be a drop a few bunker busters and peace out. First, I’m not sure that bunker busters will destroy this facility that’s 300 feet underground under a mountain. Maybe it will. How do you verify it? It’s going to call for people on the ground to verify it. What happens next? Iran isn’t going to stop and I’m also not buying that the ayatollahs are going to be overthrown by the people. On Fox News yesterday some woman said that Iranians hate their ayatollahs as much as Israelis. I think that’s ridiculous.

So at that point you’re talking regime change. I see the potential for being dragged into another long term, multi generational and massively costly expeditionary warfare with uncertain outcomes and potentially heavy consequences as a very real possibility. This sounds like it’s all from the same playbook. I remember when we bombed terrorist training camps in Afghanistan back in the 90s to “neutralize” that threat.

But Trump is the man at this momentous occasion to decide the course of action. I think it could really be a pivotal moment. I pray he chooses wisely and the results to be the proper course of action.

It would be fitting for polls to lead to our demise.

Okay so the poll does say get involved.

Thanks for the clarification.

We’ve already been involved.

It is a conundrum.

All I know is you can put one in a backpack. And how much radiation detecting were we doing at the southern border under Biden?

Maybe we aren’t under Trump. I really don’t know the answer to this.

You are just an anonymous poster on tigerdroppings. You saying it doesn’t erase my fears of it being possible.

No offense though. You may be right.

A warhead like the W54, with a small amount of fissile material (likely a few kilograms of plutonium), emits low levels of radiation. Well-designed warheads are heavily shielded with materials like lead or depleted uranium to reduce detectable emissions, making them hard to spot without close proximity or sensitive equipment.

So I stand with my statement. Iran can’t have a nuke.

Crazed jihadists with nuclear weapons, what me worry?

Of course, they'd strike Israel and Israel would nuke them from the face of the earth along with their proxies and allies.

And yet, something like 73% agree Iran can't have nukes.

Some bombs dropped and no other US intervention will quickly be forgotten by the average American. Like every other time before.

Trump will frame it differently and his dry humpers will swallow it. They’re already trying to justify it on this board. Not what anyone voted for.
