Not that I read Politico, but this bullshite article popped up on my Google News feed this AM. Had to take a look at who they were talking about, because I didn't realize Mitch was "Cajun"
Some of these bullshite quotes are hilarious.
Dems please keep hyping this buffoon and let this happen. Trump 2020 would be in the bag.
Some of these bullshite quotes are hilarious.
quote:
'I think he’s a remarkable talent … on the Bill Clinton, Barack Obama scale,’ says one admirer of New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu.
quote:
Mitch Landrieu isn’t, for the moment, getting ready to run for president. But that’s not stopping the Democrat who led the rebuilding of New Orleans
quote:
He contrasted Trump’s record with his own experience leading a city devastated by Hurricane Katrina and wracked by years of mismanagement that’s now on the rise.
quote:
His admirers say Landrieu‘s background also gives him the advantage of being able to speak credibly to Trump voters.
quote:
“If he showed up somewhere, people would show up to hear what he has to say,” Carville said. “That’s a huge thing. Not everybody crosses that threshold from Day One.”

There's no way Carville is so disconnected that he thinks a white man has a shot at the Dem nomination. I can't stand him, but stupid he ain't.

I thought this article would be about Blanco based on the title

Mitch Landrieu is about as Cajun as the Robert E. Lee statue.

Didn't Politico also Proclaim that Rand Paul was the most interesting man in the Republican race for president? That worked out well.

LOFL...
Please run Mitch the Bitch.
He could campaign on removing the Lincoln Memorial.

I know he will get a lot of hate here, but I wouldn't be upset with this pick.
What's everyone's main issue with him?

I really hope these nitwits go all in on Landrieu. The fact that this idiot is even being considered shows how shallow the Dem bench is for 2020.

in short?

I wouldn’t either. Although I’m pretty sure for different reasons.

Well from the outside, New Orleans looks to be doing a lot better than when he took over. Does he get any credit for that?
Not really a reason that I would vote for him, but the statues needed to come down.

Yea. This city is far worse than when he took over and considering that was during Katrina reconstruction I don’t say that lightly.
That man is a bum.

You be strangers. Come for the festival, have you?
You are not of the body.

Crime is down? How is the economy? Businesses are fighting to make Nola their home?

Well, things are really looking up in New Orleans because Mitch was all about fixing problems.
See how well the drainage system was working YEARS into his term as mayor (and consequently head of the Sewerage and Water Board):
At least he got to shake some hands with people in Aspen before he had to come back the next day. Let's keep things in perspective.
