Having seen her inability to follow her own logic I don't think thats it.

She is someone who needs to feel better than others, or else she feels worthless, it's why she hangs onto this idea that she has dignity (which she then denies to SallysHuman and others here).

This chasing of a completely worthless PhD is her attempt to make up for what she knows is a lack of intelligence with "education".

She oversells her mid level admin job that she is paid to do as some sort of charity.

She lies about her cleaning lady, she lies about how much help she got from her parents because she can't admit that she is where she is due to those systematic privileges she rants against.

How does one deal with a low self esteem? They join a group that tears others down.

She needs this far left group and the validation it gives her, no less than someone going "goth" or "punk" or "emo" gives someone a group that allows them to reject the world in favor of their tiny echo chamber of clothes or music or heretical communism.

She somehow thinks we are the enemies, but she doesn’t get that she continues to spiral in a sea of lies she tells herself, degradation of others: her husband, this guy on probation, her parents, some guy who offered her a job, her brother, people here.

This spiral will not lead to happiness. Her sending her daughter to violin lessons wont make her intelligent (video games are way better).

She is so bought into this world view because it gives her purpose.

It's sad, and unless she wakes up to how toxic her echo chamber is she will continue to spiral.

I don’t see how that definition contradicts what I said.

You’re claiming you don’t see anyone other than yourself as having dignity? Because dignity is self-esteem? You can’t have self-esteem for anyone else.

Or… do we have to wait for each individual to tell us if they have dignity respectively? It’s not something we can determine without asking if dignity is self-esteem. The only people worthy of respect are the people who tell us they are?
