23 and light snow at my house. I don't think it will accumulate, but the rapid temperature drop is impressive. Supposed to drop another 15 degrees.

I would rather face the 4 real feel in AM than live in California.

Any of you guys remember the band 3 Dog Night? It's an old country reference to needing 3 dogs in the bed to keep you warm.

DFW area--the low tonight is expected to be 16

We are under a Wind Chill Advisory from midnight through 9AM tomorrow morning with the wind chill factor expected to be at zero or below zero.

It's Three Dog Night and absolutely. But, what the hell are you doing up so late?

I have been awake since just before the sun rose today. The temp has fallen every hour so far from 31 to 26. I can't wait to see how much lower it gets while the sun is still up.

Good band back in the day. They suffered an early death as a result of too many drugs and too much Mafia financing of them.

It was 9 degrees today. It's not so bad until you feel the wind....

Not sure why people would take off of work unless the roads were blocked. This isn't close to breaking the lowest temp record, but it may beat a daily high record for the area.

17 this morning when I left the house. Fortunately no wind and the roads are bone dry. Only problem was the battery that operates my gate froze up. Had to get out of the car and switch it to manual override.

40 miles north of Little Rock - 13 with a w/c of 1 above. At 5:30 this morning it was 6 degrees at the house. Wind is pretty tough this morning. High today will be about 18.

That's odd about the wind. LR is not that far from Shreveport and we have zero wind. Maybe what you're getting now is headed our way.

Edit: Your wind from Ark just hit us 30 minutes after I made the post. About 25 mph. Miserable out there now.

Are you guys taking any precautions tonight? Our low will be 15 so I'm gonna set up the dishwasher before I go to bed. When I get up at 2 a.m. for a drink of water I'm gonna hit the 'start' button. It will run for an hour. My exterior bibs are wrapped. I also have a small ceramic heater in the garage that I'm gonna turn on before I go to bed.

I'm fighting to keep the citrus orchard alive; looking at 17+- tonight. Tarps over it, with two of those worksite halogens going...and I might spray the limbs with water after the game tonight.

Otherwise...wood in the heater, Beck/Rush/Hannity on the radio and a canvas on the easel. Not bad...by the grace of the Good Lord.

One girl at the gym had her unprotected pipes burst over night. She's a doctor in her first year of practice. One would think a doctor is smarter than that.

Vascular 'pipes'...yep...likely real smart, Z; now she knows the other kind. Probably her first house; where she runs the show instead of dad. Unless hubby dropped the ball. No hubby? You might want to rethink them 3 dogs for tonight.
