Pocahontas is .09% Peruvian not Cherokee Per Boston Globe

I actually read the Boston Globe article and learned a few things. Most significantly, Pochahontas's DNA wasn't actually compared to a Native American Tribe. Instead, she sent it to an academic "expert" (as opposed to a lab with some kind of published and approved accuracy standards) who winged it with some South Americans.
It is almost as if the Native Americans are worried people may falsely appropriate and exploit their heritage to gain things like professorships, scholarships and other affirmative action programs designed to equal out the history of discrimination against them, so they don't actually contribute DNA to databases.
As a result, the DNA in the comparison used in Pocahontas' test was actually South American (Mexican, Peruvian, and Columbian).
Interestingly, she didn't use a commercial service - but instead went to a University "expert," where goodness knows there is no political bias.
Reading this article makes me realize that Elizabeth Warren is even more full of shite than we anticipated.

Detecting DNA for Native Americans is particularly tricky because there is an absence of Native American DNA available for comparison.
This is in part because Native American leaders have asked tribal members not to participate in genetic databases. “The tribes have felt they have been exploited,” explained Lawrence Brody, a senior investigator with the Medical Genomics and Metabolic Genetics Branch at the National Institutes of Health.

And the rest was European? That sounds like her family were a bunch of racist Conquistadors.

BOSTON GLOBE: "Due to a math error, a story about Elizabeth Warren misstated the ancestry percentage of a potential 10th generation relative. It should be 1/1,024."

It amazes me these people thought it was a good idea to publish it.
This strikes me as one of those stories they’d bury instead.

None of this matters.
The way they’ll portray it, she should be sporting a full war bonnet and brandishing a tomahawk on the Senate floor. And the unwashed masses will accept it as gospel.

My biological father is 100% Navajo. My DNA ancestry shows me to be at over 54% Native American. Why can't Warren's test be done like mine was? Is mine false? No, it's not.

What full on white people were fricking full on natives 10 generations ago?

Traditional media, yes.
However, I see Trump cutting through that bullshite and making them admit the truth.
He should say she is 1/4096 Indian and have them rush out and proclaim “He’s wrong! She’s 1/1024 Indian! Er, Peruvian...”

exactly. the headline that she is an injun is out there. plus she wants Trump to pay a million to charity because she proved she was an injun.
the only thing is the truth will come out but right now Pocahontas just wants in to run against him.

And you know what? They’d do it, too. Just to be contrary.
I hope he sets them up exactly that way.

A lot of people actually. Mexico, Peru and Colombia all have large mestizo populations, with each still retaining a large Amerindian populations. European/Amerindian admixtures are much more common in Central and South America than in the US and Canada.

She would have been better off just admitting that she stretched the truth in the past. Instead, she just doubles down on some bullshite. Lib/prog filth is pathetic.
