Why is there such an imbalance in news reporting media?

And why can't news outlets just tell me the news, without any twist, left or right? I realize $ rules, but why aren't there more conservative news agencies? I'm tired of hearing "one persons opinion" regarding the news.....

This country needs a "Walter Cronkite" to tell it how it really is!

We are a nation of bubbles now. People will only listen to what they want to hear.

Why are you referencing an old leftist?

Centralizing power makes the mouthpieces of the powerful more wealthy. This isn't hard.

If DC was weak would as many media types have 7 figure salaries?

Go to your nearest college and ask if you can sit in on a journalism class. It will answer your question.

Liberal education camps or what we call Universities and college journalism programs.

Because only losers that can't find a high paying job are reduced to "journalism"

I would guess the average writer for a news org is under 30, white and has a master's that is near worthless except for the paper and ink costs.

Journalists in the old days came from working class backgrounds. Might have been New Dealers but weren't cultural Marxists.

Now they're mainly from privileged backgrounds. Erin Burnett came to XiNN from Goldman Sachs. Anderson Cooper is a Vanderbilt. Fredo is the son of a governor.

You also have stricter editorial control. Soledad O'Brien left XiNN because Jeff Zucker wanted her to be a propaganda mouthpiece. Krystal Ball left MSNPC for the same reason. The people who stay are willing to take marching orders.

Was a kid and watched Cronkite in is final years. Watched the news shift left in the 80s and quit watching until Trump won the election. Will quit again in 2024.

I lived in the media world for over 40 years.

In the late 1960's, college students were radicalized in the anti-Vietnam war movement. Few majors were more affected than journalism, communications and media arts and they are the source of young starting positions in the MSM.

As time passes, they gained experience and moved up. They took over as they reached middle age and made sure there was no non-leftist voice allowed to rise. PBS was the first to fall since it was more of a magnet to leftists.

The way to counter it is to train a lot more conservatives in media tools and arts.

And makes less than $40k/yr, working in a Top 20 MSA. And the market is flooded. A single job posting may get 3-400 resumes even in small market.

But it’s also a top-down thing. The industry enforces compliance with The Narrative. See what happened to that NYT writer that was tasked to bring “balance”
to their content? Fired.

For good folks that aren’t super-left it’s an inhospitable environment. For all the talk from leftist media about “toxic work environments”... no one is better at it than they are. It’s why I got out, but that was decades ago. it’s way worse now.

Conservatives are drawn to real jobs. You have to be liberal to want to write about what is happening, not making it happen.

Now that was a GREAT response zeebo!!!!
Conservatives do the hard work and make it happen, while the left sits on the sidelines and cries about the outcome when it is not their favor.

It's all women or men with daddy issues LMFAO

What's funny is that they think people care what they have to say. One good thing about the Trump admin is he's completely unmasked the media. They cannot stand when they are ignored and they continue to dig their own grave. It's an epic positive feedback loop.

Because Journalists are malcontents. They are malcontents based on social awkwardness that they never outgrew. From an early age of watching the quarterback date the hot chick, they assumed that it MUST be bc the QB is an a-hole and his assholeness MUST be exposed, and then the hot chick would see it and then dump the QB for the douchey paint eating malcontent.

These people are so fricking miserable and filled with envy that they cannot see that the hot chick May have just been interested in a hot guy that was fun at parties.

Journalists are like all leftists- they are filled with toxic envy. It’s what makes them resent success, and assume successful people got success bc they are meanie pants - and not bc they are smart or talented or funny. They are filled with self-loathing and blame others for their problems. Journalists are not out fghting crimes or fighting wars, they want to shame successful ppl in the news. Not bc the successful people are criminals - it’s vengeance they’re after.

They blame successful people for all their problems in life. Successful people don’t blame others for their failures, they learn from them. Leftists blame everyone else for their fricking miserable lives. It’s why they’re miserable
