How do you know its from last year because the description says so ? While they are the same room its very strange that an unlisted youtube video hits the scene from business insider on Oct 3rd same day his photos are released .

If he sustained fire for 30 seconds (IIRC) he'd need a bigger clip than 60 rounds. Also he'd have to change barrels fairly often.

A. Not to be a turd but don't say clip, say magazine. I'm trying to help you.

B. The first couple of pictures included a Surefire 100 round mag that dumps at around 8 seconds auto or bump. The first volley was 10 or 11 seconds.

C. Changing barrels on an AR is time consuming and requires equipment like vices and barrel wrenches. He wasn't changing barrels in that room.

D. Is there really a period in which he sustained fire for 30 seconds?

I expected to see drums. Those clips would last just a few seconds... the sustained fire that we all heard does not compute with those clips.

The DD AR had a Surefire 100 round mag. It is the highest capacity thing we've seen in the pics and I'm dubious as to whether even that could feed long enough to sustain 10 or 11 seconds.

This is such BS . Thought this guy was Mr Rich and got two rooms . You can see what the rooms look like on Mandalay's website - Nothing resembles this . The furniture , carpet , and Curtains looks like something you'd get at a Microtel in Afghanistan.

I have stayed at Mandalay Bay a dew times and the room looks nothing like the room in the pics

I will admit I have not read every posting, but some just make me shake my head and wonder where some people get these ideas.

I am having problems with these pics

1st... we are in the year almost 2018 and still grainy photos? C'mon man

Did they pull the Electricity out of the room? Why is everything so dark?

Last, can someone please let me know which Suite/Room on the Mandalay Bay Website ( LINK) resembles the room in the photo?

The only one close is "The Media Suite" because of the carpeting.

There is a pre-event video where some guy that smacks a lot was staying in the same suite and giving a tour bragging to friends or family. The video started with him coming through the door. It all checked out.

It sure looks like there's a note on the end table in the third picture.

It is not a self inflicted head wound if so he would not have aspirated blood on mouth and face, he was shot in the upper torso possibly lung due to the dried blood spatter his shirt and face and the drops of blood leading to the gun, I can't tell from this picture alone but the way his leg is under the bipod rifle and laying on top of another rifle. Things are not what they seem with this whole thing, why would a person who plans on killing himself wear gloves?? If he was willing to kill 59 and wound 100's more why wouldnt he shoot it out with the police there is alot of things that are not adding up.

Clips? Was he shooting a Kar98 or a M1 Garand?

100 round mags are known to jam constantly. No one uses them seriously.

im sure the police moved him and kicked away guns near him when the entered before confirming he was dead.

gloves likely because of the hot casings being ejected and the gun barrel temp as well. at his rate of rife those barrels would be to hot to touch without getting burned

I don’t see anything in the suicide pictures that looks odd other than the leg being under the rifle.

He was standing or on his knees when he shot himself in the roof of the mouth. He fell backwards and hit the floor causing the gun to bounce a couple of feet behind is head due to the backwards momentum.

The blood in his mouth is due to blood coming down through the entrance wound in the roof in his mouth along with the escaping muzzle pressure rupturing blood vessels in his oral cavity and throat. The blood behind him is obviously from the exit wound.

We also don’t know anything about his medical history. At 64 he could easily have been on a daily aspirin regimen or even anticoagulant therapy which would have contributed to blood loss beyond baseline.

The suicide looks solid to me.
