Channel 11 News exclusively confirmed Tuesday that Thomas Crooks was spotted by police hanging around the American Glass Research complex more than an hour before the assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump.
Multiple law enforcement sources described the security operation in detail Tuesday, directly contradicting public statements from the U.S. Secret Service Director.
According to law enforcement sources in multiple counties in western Pennsylvania, there were two sniper teams set up near the building where Thomas Crooks fired from Saturday evening. However, in direct contrast to comments made by Secret Service director Kimberly Cheatle, there were no local police in the same building where Crooks made it on the roof.
Channel 11's Nicole Ford also obtained exclusive photos showing the cell phone and transmitter device found next to Crooks moments after a Secret Service sniper shot and killed him. On Monday, Ford reported pictures of Crooks had been taken by local police at least 26 minutes before shots were fired and sent up the command chain.

Looks like a 1980s TV remote.

What do a transmitter do?
Blow up his van? You know the one parked down the street before he drove to the rally in his Hyundai.

What is the significance of a transmitter device?

what that be something that a bomb could be detonated with?

Is the 9v battery there for scale or did it come out of the remote?

That looks like a garage door opener that you install outside the garage door. WTF? Did you have a bomb set to receive a command from the keypad?

Under-rated statement.

Hmmm, sounds like they wanted to let Trump get shot. Disgusting

I just didn't buy that Ree Tardy Oswald was capable of some remote transmitter bomb detonation by himself. Are supposed to believe this because they said he could take a computer apart and put it back together?

To get a ladder that was stashed??

The circuit board could easily be powered by 12v battery or plugged into a car adapter and the circuit already controls a high current relay, which doesn't care whether it's a motor or an electrically activated explosive.

I'm not into conspiracy theories enough to opine what the remote/transmitter was for. But what IS clear is local LE is pissed the Secret Service is trying to throw the blame on them, and they are throwing it right back at the Secret Service.
Given the SS director's "sloped roof" excuse yesterday she'd probably be wise to stop talking and try to get the local PD on board. The more they keep throwing local PD under the bus the more local PD is going to shite all over the SS.

‘Hey, you’re one of us now. Get this assignment done and we have a $250k job per year lined up. You will be working undercover, women will cling to you like James Bond. You will be doing humanity a favor. Now go em tiger. The location is set, you will see a ladder at the entry point. And rember to stay low. You’ve been training for this for three weeks now, so it shouldn’t be an issue. You got this , champ!!’

No it definitely would have been used to set off some type of explosive device. He probably had the battery out to prevent accidental detonation.
