I wasn't saying to respect her. I was just pointing out that attacking her on lack of self-control seemed unwarranted given her military aviation background.

I come to this page to learn things, including from people with whom I (initially) disagree. Others are here just to feel better about what they already think. That includes thinking that Democrats can't have any redeeming qualities or skills as humans.

You can have self-control in one situation and not in another. I'm sure she showed great self-control in, and was a hero for, her actions on the battlefield but that doesn't mean she did here.

This should be the starting assumption with all democrats (or any politician). It’s up to them to prove themselves different on an individual basis. I’m honestly trying to think of one democrat that I’d throw water on if they were burning, and coming up empty. That’s also true for the majority of republicans.
