You're mistaken...I don't draw any line. If the military can have one, you should be able to as well. The Second Amendment is specifically to allow for defense from your own tyrannical government.

Brilliant insight.

You should be an attorney. You'd win all your cases with this impeccable logic.

Bump stocks should be illegal. Good things is that they soon will be.

Why not both?

You're correct. It doesn't matter because making them illegal will solve absolutely nothing.

i'll take your sarcastic scoff to mean "i got nothing, those are arms and they're banned which is explicitly forbidden by the second amendment, but i can't say that i'm for people owning them because that's insane, however if i admit that then i admit that the line we set to determine what is and is not legal in terms of firearms is very arbitrary, and then i'd have to defend my position with something other than '2nd amendment baw'"

because they're different amendments, and i'm not saying that because lots of arms were created after the constitution was written, we should only allow those that existed when the document was written. i'm saying, quite literally, that a bump stock is in no way shape or form an arm

By that logic we could make ammunition illegal Hillary

Nope, common sense should intervene here. I'm sure the Founders intended us to have the right to keep and bear arms.....but not have ammunition. However, I don't believe the 2A insures my right to purchase scopes, silencers, 100 round clips, bump stocks and so on.

Just my two cents.

I know what you're saying. I'm letting you know why you're wrong.

Keyboards and ink pens are not speech or press.

Do you see the point I'm making, or do I need to spell it out for you?

no, i totally understand your reasoning, its just really dumb.

how does not having a bump stock prevent you from bearing arms?

it might be a strawman if it didn't hold up, however since you still can't address it, i'll take that to mean it can't be a strawman

No I'm not saying don't ban bump stocks because you can achieve the same thing with a rubberband

I'm saying ban rubberbands bc they can achieve the same thing as a bump stock

rubber-bands, like bump stocks, aren't constitutionally protected so i guess if you want to try and get them banned, go for it?

I don't think you do. Explain it.
