Per John Kennedy, Johnson will bring 3 bills next week. Israel, Taiwan and Ukraine.

3 bills for each situation. I like it that way and have no problem with this.

WASHINGTON, April 12 (Reuters) - Donald Trump threw his support behind embattled U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Mike Johnson on Friday, seeking to demonstrate unity as Johnson struggles to quell dissent within his fractious Republican majority.

"He's doing a really good job under very tough circumstances," Trump said at a press conference with Johnson at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.

Trump Says He Stands With Speaker Mike Johnson—Calls Motion To Vacate ‘Unfortunate’

In a joint press conference Friday with House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., former President Donald Trump said he “stand[s] with the speaker,” even as Johnson faces increasing pressure from far-right GOP House members on a motion to vacate, a charge led by Trump ally Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga.

Can we get any people with clean records in Washington at the high level?

Nope. The whole thing is corrupt.

He's voting Trump's values. And Trump's values are liberal spending values.

Trump has, and will continue to, support spending on Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan.

I find it fascinating how Cult45 screams about things Trump supports while their support of him never wavers.

Johnson is saying he doesn’t have the votes. There’s nothing he can do but stall and break it into separate bills, which he’s done.

He’s saying give me more time and a larger majority to do the things you want. He can’t do it now, the math simply isn’t there. He says he can’t do much until after the election when he hopefully has more to work with.

While the current state is frustrating and shitty, I’m inclined to give him a fair trial run. He’s been Speaker for just a few months and came in with a razor thin majority. RINOs and GOPe have been resigning early to reduce that razor thin majority to a whisper, sabotaging his leadership and helping continue the absurd status quo of bad legislation. Moreover, there are still bad Republicans on the Hill. Johnson’s options are limited.

He cut FISA renewal from 5 years to 2. He stalled the spending bills. He broke them up. This is not enough but he can’t do more other than maybe shutting down the government which would be bad during an election year and shutting down the government never works for Republicans.

So he’s saying this is all I can do for now, give me a better majority after November and judge me on that work. I’m inclined to give him that chance before pulling the plug on him. If he disappoints then, frick him, get him out. But now is not a fair sample size, IMO.

I agree with everything you said except his tie breaker vote on FISA warrants.

That is a huge black mark for a supposed strict Constitutionalist.

FISA was going to pass but he didn't take a golden opportunity to further weaken it.

Mike Johnson is best case scenario as Speaker.

It’d be nice to know specifically who would be better right now as Speaker.

Be specific. Name the actual person. Don’t cop out. Name your top three.

Do it. Don’t say burn it all down or run away with hyperbole. Use real words like an adult.

I just want him to do nothing. Sit in gridlock and don’t spend any money.

Nothing that he could possibly pass that would be good for us will pass the senate anyway.

I’d rather he shut it down, but it looks like he’s being clever and slow pedaling the whole process. Three bills will also have a harder time than one giant bill.
