A very close loved one of mine was confronted and mocked by a perfect stranger for wearing a mask in the exact same manner you have outlined here. He was undergoing cancer treatment, was neutropenic, and was following his oncologist's mask directives to a t. Of the many I know he endured, that was a really bad day for him simply because someone chose to be an a-hole.

Obviously not all fall into this category, but you shouldn't judge others when you don't know the hand they were dealt.

And this is why the virtue signalers need their asses kicked.

Because they make the ones who really need it look like the fools. Their scared brainwashed hive-minds can't let go, they insist on signaling as well as imposing their will to mask everyone through mandates. Thus turning the normal people against all masking.

Before all of this I didn't think twice about the one random I saw masked in public about every 8 weeks or so.

this - I try to give the benefit of the doubt to every instance I can.

Another reason I simple forgetfulness - I know back when I was wearing a mask I'd simply forget to take it off when I left the grocery store === and this was way before covid. I used to wear a mask because I was deathly ill with COPD coomplications while I was still on severe immune-depressing cancer treatments - I coughed a lot so when went into a crowed situation, I put on my mask that I used while mowing = as a courtesy to others because I was hacking/coughing a lot.

Sometimes I'd get all the way back home before I realized I still had it on.
