"Report what daddy government says or youre gone" Uh huh...
Are you implying the press had the right to report on the Manhattan Project?

Your concern is noted. Have a nice day

Hegseth shouldn't be allowed to control what can and cannot be reported. Thats a clear violation of the 1st amendment.
This is completely in your own mind and has no connection to reality.

They were credentialed. How do you think Russia got the bomb
Posted on 10/15/25 at 8:11 pm to Philzilla2k
It’s a violation of the 1st Amendment to keep those reporters out of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory! They have “credentials”!

Time to break out the old WW2 posters "Loose lips sink ships."
"Loose lips sink ships" is an idiom meaning that careless talk about sensitive information can have dangerous consequences. It originated during World War II as a warning to be cautious about what you say, as it could be overheard by enemies and lead to the loss of ships, lives, or other military assets. Today, it is used more broadly to emphasize the importance of discretion in both professional and personal situations.

You can't possibly be this stupid.
Likely not stupid, but definitely has a severe case of TDS. The MSM brought all of this to fruition - they have become Pravda over the last two decades and exist only to push the Dem agenda. Folks such as the OP are either dumb as a skunk to not realize this, or realize this and continue to support and perpetuate obvious left propaganda.
And from the OP -

This is concerning
Concerned that your propaganda stream is conflicted now I suppose.

They are upset that they now have to be escorted when inside the building. If you came to my corporate office you would be required to have an escort while on campus and we do not have or house national security secrets.

They haven't done their job in at least 30 years. Not a huge loss in my opinion.

Pete doesn't give a Hegseth.

This sounds like what I voted for…

Is that really a press or gossip columnist group

Please name ONE, JUST ONE, federal facility that allows people, press or otherwise, to just roam around and go where they want without escort or credentials of some kind.
White House? NOPE
Congress? NOPE
Any federal courthouse? NOPE
DOJ? NOPE
Treasury? NOPE
Homeland Security? NOPE
Department of Agriculture? NOPE
I work athletic events for a living. My credentials tell security where I am allowed to go and where I cannot go. If I somehow got to a place where I am not supposed to be, my credential will be pulled if I am caught.
This is NOT Earth-shaking stuff. What was surprising to me was learning that reporters were actually able to wander around the Pentagon without escort as if they were 5-Star Generals.

Explain in great detail how that is a violation of the 1st Amendment. Is Hegseth sending troops to WaPo, CNN or ABC to prevent them from reporting news?

Agreed. This policy reversal is how you go about draining the swamp.

Problem with the press is they’ve become too untrustworthy to the American people.
So the counter to that is government control?

Oh, now you’re concerned? These are the same people that were shocked they missed Joe Biden’s mental decline for 4 years. I could see why you would be concerned.
Your article literally quotes these journalists saying they will continue doing the same exact job they always do, they just won’t do it from inside a military facility. Massively concerning indeed.
You concern me. Your oblivious retardation concerns me greatly.
