He will be able to prove through her testimony that he offered national guard support for J6 and she and the mayor of Washington D.C., declined.
And that will do absolutely nothing for him in this trial, even if that happens.
That could be completely true and it would have zero bearing on whether Trump is guilty of what he’s been charged with

Case will be dropped and new charges brought
And JFK will reappear from hiding out in Jamaica and personally reinstate trump as president for life.

Official Text of the Indictment
quote:
Paragraph 10
The defendant's conspiracy to impair, obstruct, and defeat the federal government function through dishonesty, fraud, and deceit included the following manner and means
Sub Paragraph e
After it became public on the afternoon of January 6 that the Vice President would not fraudulently alter the election results, a large and angry crowd - including many individuals whom the defendant deceived into believing the Vice President could and might change the election results - violently attacked the Capitol and halted proceeding.
so yes, the indictment specifically alleges that he used the riot as a "manner and means" to impair, obstruct and defeat the federal government.

Nothing in the indictment blames or alleges that Trump instigated the riot.
Directly from the indictment...
"on the morning of January 6, the defendant and co-conspirators repeated knowingly false claims of election fraud to gathered supporters, falsely told them that the Vice-President had the authority to and might alter the election results, and directed them to the Capitol to obstruct the certification proceeding and exert pressure on the Vice President..."
They are absolutely indicting him because of J6 riots and they are using the riot as the "obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding."
If they were only charging based on what Trump said to Pence or others, they would not include the above statements in the indictment as evidence that they plan to use the riots on J6 in the case.
You can stick to a narrow claim of no indictment "for" the riots but that is not being totally honest. Without the riots, we aren't even here discussing this.

Where? It’s not in the text you quoted.
And besides, let’s just say Pelosi takes the stand and admits to denying whatever security Trump allegedly requested. Explain to me how that bears on whether or not Trump “used” the riot?

to obstruct the certification proceeding
this is different than orchestrating J6

And you think that security being inadequate to stop the thousands of angry rioters that Trump gathered and directed to go to the Capitol will somehow absolve Trump?
LMAO. So much dishonesty....

Not a clue. But he wasn't charged with causing a riot so I still don't understand what the relevance would be.
what crimes is he being charged with?

are you serious?
the exact words are:
quote:
The defendant's conspiracy to impair, obstruct, and defeat the federal government function through dishonesty, fraud, and deceit included the following manner and means
Very point blanks is stating that the following list is the "manner and means" that the defendant (Trump) used in his conspiracy to "impair, obstruct, and defeat the federal government function"
below that are 5 sub paragraphs explains each "manner and means" used.
quote:
sub paragraph e
After it became public on the afternoon of January 6 that the Vice President would not fraudulently alter the election results, a large and angry crowd - including many individuals whom the defendant deceived into believing the Vice President could and might change the election results - violently attacked the Capitol and halted proceeding.
very specifically describes the riot.
does not accuse him of starting the riot, cause the riot, stir up the riot, etc.
but the riot is specifically listed as one of the "manner and means" used by the defendant.

a count of conspiring to defraud the government, another of conspiring to disenfranchise voters, and two counts related to corruptly obstructing a congressional proceeding
And none of them rely on or are based in Trump allegedly inciting, leading, or organizing the J6 fiasco. They are based in the other shite like the fake electors, etc.
Nothing related to Pelosi and security at the Capitol is relevant to those charges.

So explain to me how Capitol security is relevant to whether or not Trump “used” the riot?

If Trump can prove he was attempting to try to prevent the riot (through extra security, national guard, etc.) then it could theoretically cast doubt as to whether or not he was using it in his "manner and means".

because in a criminal trial, all you have to do is provide reasonable doubt.
showing efforts to prevent something can also be viewed as "reasonable doubt" to him also using it.
