Allegations, when vague and general, can lead to an investigation if the alleged wrong doing warrants it.

In Trumps case, there is a single transcribed phone call that shows the alleged "crime" to be bogus and in need of a specialized and not apparent reading of the transcript in order to advance to an investigation.
Just my opinion...others may feel differently.

Whistleblower complaint alleges that Ukrainian officials were "led to believe that a [future] meeting or phone call between" Trump and Zelensky would depend on Zelensky's willingness to "play ball"

The WB obviously hit the nail on the head as far as facts go. The only thing left to debate is whether or not Trump was abusing his power or not.

I just flushed a rather large turd down the toilet that I’m quite certain has more brains than you if you think it’s “debatable” Trump abused his power in any way. It’s not debatable because the notion Trump did anything remotely wrong is laughable. It’s not abuse of power when the President asks a foreign government to help investigate legitimate corruption irregardless of the fact that person just happens to be one of many people running for the Democrat nomination.

Nancy says I'm going senile, I'm yeasty, my son is sorta in Ukraine storylines, my dentures are sliding around, I'm pushing 80, our 2020 candidates are drawing dead, and my boss AOC is on my @ss..

I don't have time to wait!

but doing so because he is running for the democrat nomination is the definition of corruption

that's the entire thing here.

If Trump wanted to hurt Biden politically why wouldn't he wait until Biden won the nomination? It's silly.

Well then you should not have any problem. It’s not because Biden is a democrat, its because he was likely involved in major corruption scandals of the previous admin.

Pelosi, sanders, whoever else does not have these investigations, they are dems. If it was because of dem nominee *theres like 20ish* then that is a super weird pattern of only investigating 1 for their corruption.

So, the fact that Biden was or is a potential candidate for the socialist democrat nomination for president, precludes the sitting president from calling for investigations into potential criminal activity? Is that really what you are saying?

Perhaps his internal polls show he has much more favorable numbers against Warren?

Or, perhaps he wants to go after corrupt politicians and those who surround them, regardless of politics.

I get you and the other Darth mixed-up. His avi always gives him away and his turd would definitely be the shape of a certain letter of the alphabet.

In other words, these aren't impeachment proceedings.

Not official/legitimate. Which, as I understand it, if they were would open up judicial recognition of broader and more binding authority of Congress in the way of subpoena power. As of now Congress is unable to utilize that enhancement. Sorry Congress, you'll have to do better.

Leftist radicals seem to believe that political candidates like Biden are immune to investigation? Is that because he is a DemonRat or is it because they want to shut down the investigation into Crowdstrike and the DNC server? (The information on that server would probably be enough to mandate a massive expansion of Guantanamo to hold all of the leftist criminals. ) They seem to imply that being a candidate makes Biden and his family eligible to rob banks and accept HUGE bribes without legal recourse. NOT SO!

Well, sometimes it’s not easy to tell whether you’re hiring a patriot, or a socialist democrat. You sacks of shite make a living out of being shifty like that.

Now are you going to answer my question? Does being a potential candidate preclude the sitting president from calling for an investigation of potential corruption?
