Count Pelosi is adding to ever growing list of ways she's fricking up the shite down for her party.

Then she went and got some hack on a HLS committee that's entire page is muh Russians and hate Trump to say he agrees with her... LINK
This would usually have the GOPe sayin yes miss Pelosi yes massa Pelosi...
Then Trump laid out the boom
She is used to bossing Dubya and the limp wristed GOPe. Scalise, McCarthy, and turtle are backing Trump.

No. She just wants her rebuttal to be all about how she saved the country from collapse that the shutdown would surely cause. She really doesn't want to make a repeat of her last rebuttal, which she obviously would if SOTU goes as planned.

I really hope he just delivers the sotu document to the speaker and then instead of gathering Congress to address them, he just delivers a 90 minute fireside chat style state of the union address from a lounge chair in the oval office.

It was a stupid play on her part, very stupid... The entities involved in providing the security for the SOTU are some of the last entities that will ever be affected by a government shut down... think, total shut down, someone turn out the lights on the way out shut down...

Trump should deliver the SOTU speech from the Oval Office as scheduled and then have the written statement of the text of the speech delivered to Congress.
The constitution does not require the POTUS to appear before congress in person to speak. Thomas Jefferson hand wrote his state of the union statement and had it delivered to congress.
It doesn't even specify the frequency only saying the chief executive “shall from time to time give to the Congress Information on the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient.”
