A civil claim of sex trafficking filed in New York

British actress Kadian Noble filed a civil suit on Monday in New York alleging that Harvey Weinstein forced her into sexual acts while abroad in 2014. Even more damning: The suit, obtained by USA TODAY, claims The Weinstein Company violated federal sex trafficking law "by benefiting from, and knowingly facilitating" Weinstein's foreign business travels in which he would "recruit or entice female actors into forced or coerced sexual encounters on the promise of roles in films or entertainment projects."

The suit says Bob Weinstein and The Weinstein Company "knowingly participated in Weinstein's" trips to foreign countries for such purposes.

“I filed under the Federal sex trafficking law because I believe the facts as alleged in the complaint fit squarely within the statute," Jeff Herman, Noble’s lawyer, told USA TODAY in a statement. "The benefit of filing under this Federal law is that it allows us to bring a claim in the United States for an assault that occurred overseas and it has a 10 year statute of limitations.”

There's disturbing news to report surrounding the Los Angeles County, California Department of Children's and Family Services, where Hollywood resident and adoption manager Carlos Castillo was busted as part of a child pornography circuit sting. 54-year-old Carlos Castillo is a 30-year veteran of the Department of Children's and Family Services in Los Angeles County.

The Goldwater has since been able to confirm Castillo’s position within the agency, after locating a spring newsletter from the Los Angeles County Department of Children's and Family Services published in 2016, where the newsletter confirmed his position as an Assistant Regional Administrator for the taxpayer-funded agency. Real investigative journalism tends to confirm more than most media outlets are willing to uncover.

Castillo is tasked with protecting children, oftentimes with removing them from the homes of their parents when they're deemed unsuitable to raise a child, and now he's incarcerated for the possession and viewing of extremely graphic images and videos of prepubescent children being sexually abused and tortured by adults.

KOREATOWN (CBSLA) — A nearly 30-year veteran of the county agency charged with keeping children safe has been arrested, accused of possessing images of children being sexually abused. Carlos Castillo, 54, of Hollywood was out on bail Wednesday after having been charged of having child pornography. The Los Angeles County Dept. of Children and Family Services confirmed his current position is assistant regional administrator. A 2016 DCFS newsletter describes Castillo as an “adoption manager.”

In the same podcast, Sorvino also called out “one big director” who she says “has Oscars” and is known for his “social justice profile” who ended an audition by saying: “You know, as I look at you my mind can’t help but traveling from the artistic possibilities to the sexual.”

Sorvino had previously come forward with her own story about disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein, alleging that he sexually harassed her. Peter Jackson later revealed that Weinstein had told him not to consider her for a role in The Lord of the Rings as she was difficult to work with.

To understand Cernovich’s war on the press — and his gripe with Bernard and Berger — requires a familiarity with the alt-lite, a group of nativist “Make America Great Again” propagandists and grifters who got their name because of their ideological proximity to the white nationalist “alt-right” movement.

Cernovich is a ringleader in the group, whose members include anti-Muslim Laura Loomer, British fascist and former Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos, conspiracy theorist Jack Posobiec and Lucian Wintrich, a smarmy white supremacist-friendly correspondent for The Gateway Pundit, a far-right propaganda outlet. These dirty tricksters, several of whom have received press credentials from the Trump White House, all work to subvert the real media.

The alt-lite’s fake news ecosystem sprouted from the far-right fever swamp created by Fox News and a tireless effort by movement conservatives to demonize the media. But the new breed of alt-lite ratfricker is feral, with an ability to directly sway gullible minds through social media. Twitter and other social media platforms have abetted the rise of frauds, racists and fascists who spread lies and can easily form cybermobs. This is a worrisome development for the truth business.
