I used to see this guy arguing for the other side back when I watched cable news. He always seemed level-headed and willing to compromise somewhere in the middle. Sad to see him go.

I liked his goofy style when I watched Hardball a lot way back in the day. He was always kind of self-hating about libs and how stupid their strategies were.

Back when I watched news, I remember him. Seems like he was a UVA professor. I always thought he was somewhat reasonable with a Dem slant.

I was on a plane with him about 4 years ago. Struck up a conversation with him while waiting. Seemed very nice and down to earth, but I remember thinking he did not look well and his lifestyle of constant traveling was not going to help.

I saw him 2 weeks before the 2016 election on Fox (i think) and he basically called it for Trump. He said he noticed the exact same energy with the Trump campaign as there was when he got waxed with Carter by Reagan. He was so "matter of fact" with it I knew Trump was winning it.
