Until this twist, the president's pardons had appeared as more subtle payoffs - based on expectations or understandings of contributions, not cash in hand.

For sure, for sure. It is my understanding the conservatives have taking over the vote counting at polling locations in all swing states. The mid-terms will be called very early and all of those swing states will stop counting the votes and the counters will remove everyone and cover the windows.
A week later, if lucky, or 8 weeks later the swing state vote counting by the conservatives will be done.

Not only that, even if someone did get a pardon through those people, that's still not evidence that Trump gave the pardon illegally or received any consideration for giving it.
They take money to ask for the pardon. That's it. That's not illegal.

I 100% agree with where you are coming from. Absolutely 100%.
The Clinton's learned not to put all their eggs in one basket. Clinton Foundation has become too high profile. Spread out those "donations" into smaller sums, across more bank accounts.
