People are discovering the limits of what the domestic-side elected officials and their subordinates can actually shake down. They'll even let you frick over a geopolitical project like Ukraine because it has mostly accomplished its goals and likely will devolve into a civil war that gets Russia back in there wasting capacity within a generation anyway. But MAGA will not get to frick with the essential elements of the US Empire. Hell, some of this coarsening of our rhetoric and deciding to act less like a moral authority but instead a mafia boss looking to shakedown people for protection racket payments is beneficial to empire at this juncture.

I haven’t really followed any of this because my default assumption has always been that nothing will happen.

I don’t really feel like starting to dive in now. So can someone tell me, when they say “redacted,” is this code for removing ALL identifying info and all info that would be anything useful at all?


Or, as I usually use the term in litigation, do they mean (now) that very limited, select sensitive things will be redacted for the sole and legitimate purpose of preserving aspects of specific ongoing investigations including ones that have national security implications.

I think I already know the answer but any insight is welcome.
