Just skimmed over the article. Does it say when he visited? It it ties in with ISIS' claimed timeline its somewhat interesting but obviously not proof of anything. If it was two or three years ago its not interesting at all.

quote:I think there could be interesting discussions about it, especially regarding ideology and philosophical questions regarding ISIS and how I've they subtlety changed terminology from pure jihad to a far broader fight for a cause or inspired by it, and an ability to justify claims of associated attacks.
Nothing wrong with discussing the possibility.
A faction of y'all get upset when it is mentioned. I think if it turned out to be ISIS some of you would be upset
I mean what it a person wants to commit a terrorist like attack, but doesn't care one bit about Islam, yet gets ideas from ISIS "how to" guides? That's ISIS inspired, but not Islamic terrorism. But the association is enough to give ISIS a "victory," attention, and propaganda, and of course strengthens the animosity surrounding Muslims.
Regardless, most people aren't frustrated with the conversation surrounding the possibility, it's that now people are resorting to deception and flat out lies to argue it as a fact. An expert saying "don't dismiss it," is changed to "except beloved it's likely." This thread about vacation cruises to with various stops in tourists hot spots in Europe and ME, but only ME is included in title, and nothing about vacation, cruise, or Europe. And of course, the worst is thread about a video they exists, and it all stems from a tweet from an obvious liar, who likely lied about his connection to the Trump campaign altogether.
It's ridiculous, and clearly those who do this, don't want a discussion; they want a conclusion.
