Oxford Economic:Biden Will Wallop Trump

quote:
Democratic presidential contender Joe Biden might not just beat Trump in November, but wallop him. The election model run by forecasting firm Oxford Economics now sees Biden beating Trump by historic margins, due to an economy deeply damaged by the coronavirus recession. Before the recession, the model showed Trump winning in a close race.
quote:
The key variable in the Oxford model is a sharp economic contraction in swing states that fuels dissatisfaction with Trump and his fellow Republicans, and bolsters Democratic turnout. In the model, Biden, the former vice president, wins all the usual Democratic states plus seven states Trump won in 2016: Iowa, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
quote:
The outcome would give Biden 65% of the popular vote, and Trump just 35%. Biden would win the electoral vote 328 – 210, the worst womping of an incumbent president since Jimmy Carter lost to Ronald Reagan in 1980. In 2016, Trump lost the popular vote to Hillary Clinton, 48% to 46%, but swing state victories gave him a 306-232 electoral college win.

I would move to a different country if this happened. Or go to Idaho and join one of the groups against the govt. Surely this is just wishful thinking, but does anyone know if this Oxford Economics group has any credibility?

Is this like the Ferguson Model on Coronavirus?

Well that is not wishcasting. This is a stupid bet if this model thinks the American people are going to blame Trump for a virus and then pull the lever for a man with dementia to replace him. With how authoritarian the left has become with this I think that Trump will probably outperform in blue areas and flip some places he isn't expected to.

prepare yourself for the endless polls and models that show Trump losing in a landslide, it doesn't work but the Demedia machine is committed to republican voter suppression via poll as a form of psychological warfare.
Remember Hillary has a 98% chance of winning the election.

Wonder why state and local Democrat officials are desperately trying to prolong the shutdown?
This is why.
And they want mail-in voting just for insurance.
This is all about November.

I watched Biden’s virtual “rally” yesterday and every time he gets in front of the camera it’s still like watching the Hindenburg hit the ground in slow motion. No policy at all, talking noticeably slower and still can’t get words out during a 10 minute pre written speech.
No matter how the economy looks come this fall, Biden is going to have talk economic policy at some point, or Trumps just going to beat him over the head with the fact that all he has run on to this point is taxing the hell out of Americans. That’ll play great in a recession.

It won't be an easy win for our President, which is disturbing.

We had the best economy in history with Trump until a worldwide pandemic so that means I need to go vote for a corrupt old dementia addled fool.....ok

Just like the UK model that predicted how many Covid deaths?
How many times was it revised?

We are under an all out propaganda attack.
That's about like Saddam winning elections with 99% of the vote.

We all know the Democrat/Deep State playbook when it comes to polls and elections.
We all know the media bias.
This is why their bullshite wont work.
JUST ABOUT EVERY SINGLE PERSON THAT VOTED FOR TRUMP IN 2016 WILL VOTE FOR HIM AGAIN. And millions more former Dems and Independents will join them.
Let that sink in.

Libertarians and Republicans will turn to Trump too. It's gonna be a blood bath.
I am just so disappointed this all has become a play for power instead of staying true to the original purpose of service to the country and fellow citizens.
Trump has done a darn fine job. Has kept promises, and has even tried to help Dems too. And all they've done is tried to block him at every turn.

6 months is an eternity in politics. The debates could completely change things. And if the elections were held today it would be closer than these polls are saying.
There is still some sampling error when it comes to Trump.. a unique animal in all of American politics and political history.

If Biden were to win then this country is truly a lost cause and will eventually collapse under the weight of its own stupidity probably within a generation
