merit based immigration and amnesty is reasonable. we need smart people in USA. based on some posters here we are lacking in that regard.

But the Dems want to believe these are all good law abiding citizens- I wonder how many of these DACA people (they are not kids) truly are productive people & not shitholes themselves? This is all about potential future voters in the minds of the Democraps regardless if we have to use our taxes to support them!!

Libs don't care about people. They just preach about helping them but never really do.
Just look at the liberal bastion of California's poverty rate. All talk, no substance. Minorities are nothing to liberals but votes, and libs lie to them to get those votes.
Now that is more evil than anything Trump has ever said or done. Purposefully keeping people poor. Libs should be ashamed.

Yes, desperately. What other nation is going to protect those shitholes?

The Democrats aren't willing to give in to any plan that doesn't end up with the DACA kids voting. That's the entire purpose of their immigration strategy. If they give that up, then they're screwed.
The plan is that by the time our country feels the effects of their immigration policies, it will be too late, and they will have a permanent voting block large enough to win all of the national elections for decades.
The Republicans are split on how to defend against this. Half seem intent on joining the Democrats in hopes of splitting the immigrant vote, while the other half are trying to prevent the strategy from reaching critical mass.
President Trump got elected as a result of the blue collar middle class voters, normally a reliable Democrat voting bloc, defecting and voting for Donald Trump. This means that the Democrats either need to woo them back into the fold, or continue to bring in more immigrant voters to take their place. They seem to be trying to do both, by shaming blue collar workers with remarks that imply that they must be racist if they support President Trump.
I believe that the blue collar middle class defections to Donald Trump are a sign that middle class Americans are already feeling the effect of the immigration policies of the Obama era, coupled with the tax and spend policies that are putting a squeeze on our economy while at the same time spending huge amounts of money to set up a permanent dependency class in our country.

That gave me the LUTZ as well.
Our military needs to take a GIANT haircut particularly on overseas missions, divert the money to infastructure projects stateside instead.
There is no good reason to maintain bases all over Europe or in Japan these days, logistics have changed so much over the last 70 years they are no longer required.
What we have spent on the 5th fleet protecting Saudi alone would make a huge difference if poured back into our economy, FYI we have spent 8 Trillion on it so far.

Trump is just doing his negotiating posturing.
Sending the DACA folks back is a losing proposition, and he knows it.
If the Democrats hold his feet to the fire, he'll melt like wax.

Of course.
That would be the natural conclusion from the one candidate from a field of almost 20 Republicans and Democrats who promised mass deportation and a wall won the presidency.

This, ladies and gents, is how you run a country.

Trump should give a Speech and inform the American Citizenry re what % of the *Dreamers* are felons; and what % have had felony convictions plead down by Judges to Misdemeanors in order not to lose their DACA Status.
Make that an issue, stand His ground and let the Dems defend against that argument. Get 'em on record, let 'em shut down Government, defund the Military to support their *Dreamers*.

Why do dumbshit liberals pretend that we don't already have walls and fences at the border? Why would they rather see their precious dreamers deported than rebuild and repair this wall, even when voters have been loud and clear on this issue?
