This is entirely obama's fault

Yep.

It's a damning indictment on Barack Obama and his administration that Donald Trump was able to get Otto home while sending carriers after North Korea and doing a ton of saber rattling at them.

i think it will def serve as a cautionary tale in the future for an americans wanting to go over there. one has to wonder though why obama wasn't able to get him out earlier.

Eh...was he sent home because of something Trump's administration did, or because the Norks knew they fricked up and drugged him too much?

That sucks. I'm fascinated by NK too, but would never go there. Just taking a picture of something off limits can land u in hot water.

Poor dude. Naïve snowflake; in way over his head. Pisses me off that our Government doesn't at least inform people like Him of the real risk they take in visiting NK.

He didn't travel from the U.S. to North Korea. He was in China and saw an offer for a trip to North Korea and took it.

They had beaten him into a coma before he was even sentenced. No way we're they going to let him go in that condition so soon after the arrest.

His parents will forever feel guilt for giving the OK for him to go to NK. I assume it was ignorance, but it was deadly ignorance.

This is a truly horrible situation but the article I read said his parents knew and were ok with him going to north Korea.

People can be young a stupid but what kind of parent agrees with letting their kid go to north Korea?

There is nothing worse than losing a child, even if their son was foolish to travel to North Korea. My heart breaks for this family.
