Why not just conceal without a permit, its a misdemeanor. How many times have you been patted down by an officer? I know several people who do everyday.

Concealed carry was granted to you by the 2nd amendment. The idea that state or local govt's can restrict that right are unfounded.

What the public doesn't realize is that criminals seek the path of least risk.

He's been in that location in Shreveport for 30 years. The only shooting victims have been in adjacent businesses with no guns.

Wrong. Concealed carry was guaranteed by the 2nd amendment. The US Constitution doesn't grant the people any rights. It limits the power of government to take away our inherent rights.
