OMB Director Vought throws ice on the few crew. DOGE cuts package coming

It's been pointed out over and over to the few crew that these cuts could not be included in the BBB because of rules.
It has to be handled via recission packages. It will not be subjectedbto filibuster either.
Sorry sky screamers.

Larry Kudlow asked, “So, rumor has it that we’ve got a big rescission package, an Elon Musk DOGE rescission package coming up, can you confirm it?”
Vought answered, “I can. We’ll be sending that up on Monday or Tuesday, whenever the House is back in session, they will get our first rescissions bill. And, again, this has been proposed and we’ve talked about it, we want to make sure that Congress passes its first rescissions bill, including the DOGE, and we will send more if they pass it. And so, this is the first one, it’s foreign aid, USAID cuts, many of the waste and garbage that was funding, not only wasteful, but hurting our foreign policy, but also the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and NPR.”
Vought added that the bill won’t be subject to the filibuster.
Sorry sky screamers.

I hope Russ guts Dodd Frank if he can

There better be meaningful cuts and not some BS 3% cuts. Pre-Covid spending should be the absolute starting point. If not, mid term every mother fricker.

Hopefully it happens this way so all of us can see who is against the cuts. It’s not a bad strategy if you are trying to expose the major grifters in the GOPe. I’m not familiar with the rules they speak of but it seems like you can call people out easier with streamlined rescission packages.

The cuts will come in stages. Then the Trump budget will be submitted for the 26 fiscal year.

The few crew are those claiming to be conservatives but always manage to go against anything Trump does and they routinely use the language of the left while doing it.
They are the Rick Wilson's of the PT

This is the exact issue.
That federal pork and donor money wasn’t just flowing to blue distracts and the congressmen involved will be damned before they give it up.

Yes.
It had to be a separate bill it seems:
The big beautiful bill was a reconciliation bill, which can not address discretionary spending, ie the Doge cuts.
Permanent cuts needed to be made in a separate rescission package bill or appropriations bill.
The few crew have intentional deliberate reading comprehension issues for the purpose of obfuscation and twisting the narrative so their criticisms still seem relevant.
This may be part of why Trump said that Massie doesn’t understand government also.
He tends to vote against things on principle with no regard to the long game it seems.

As I’ve said from the beginning of this process, all of this could have been avoided (the hand wringing) if Trump had just explained this and cleared up the confusion.
Based on the campaign, there are a ton of “NOW!” Trump voters who are becoming increasingly impatient. It wasn’t necessary.

Not on Trump. It's on grandstanders like Massie and Paul who know the damn rules.

People here have been told this and they still complain. Nothing will stop the limpwrists from complaining about Trump. If Trump was to explain the bill, they would lie or twist his words to fit their narrative. It's how they make it through each miserable day.

They sure have done a horrendous job of informing American voters. Most folks are too busy working, raising families, and trying to survive to drill down into this level of politics to understand whats happening.
This part of Trumps game needs to be steeped way up.
