Can someone briefly describe the incident that started all this?
Copy what I posted last week
Now faces up to 95 years. This hits home a little more, I lived just a few blocks from the Hive and was there every weekend.
Backstory: Every business in DT Omaha boarded up following George Floyd, and the bar owner Jake Gardner, with his father, went to his business to protect their property.
The deceased, James Scurlock, broke into a nearby business and ransacked the place. He and his posse walked up to The Hive bar, and started throwing shite into the windows. Jake and his father were outside, one of James's friends attacks the elder Gardner. Jake, an ex-marine, gets tackled from behind and pulls a firearm to shoot 2 warning shots in the air.
After getting up, he gets tackled again, this time by young James (who just got out of prison for the 3rd time at the ripe age of 22), who proceeds to choke out Jake for 18 seconds before Jake pulls his firearm again and shoots behind himself, hitting and killing James.
This was initially ruled clear self defense, but of course the mob demanded a independant jury investigate. This was clearly self defense, but you know, gotta pander to the mob. Disgusting
ETA: I don't think the Omaha DA thought at the time there was any chance in hell Jake would be charged. It was a way to stop the riots. Special Prosecutor absolutely went rogue with charges.

If this type of thing becomes more common, it's not too hard to imagine DA's like this getting personal visits from concerned citizens.
At first the DA decided not move forward, then after speaking with the “community”, he decides to press on? This is NOT fricking justice. This is not America.

This is the left's goal. They want to make law abiding, hard working Americans the enemy. Sadly they have succeeded in many parts of the country.
You build own your own business? That means you are racist and They want you dead.
You obey the law and take care of your family? You are showing your white privilege and They want you dead.
You disagree with any part of their platform/agenda and dare to express it? They want you dead.
You defend yourself against any of this insanity? They will ruin your life to the point where some cant take it and sadly commit suicide.
I see no other option than civil war at this point.

Thanks.
Somebody already said it - DOJ needs to stop this nonsense. Prosecutors need to be held accountable for ruining the lives of innocent people.

The prosecutor originally declined to bring charges against the bar owner, but the cuck eventually caved to local pressure.
“Franklin bowed to pressure and dug up evidence and came up with charges.”
ETA: beaten by ZZTIGERS

Here’s the prosecutor and his family on Family Feud.
Ben and his wife Brigette. They live in Omaha. Downtown Omaha. In an apartment. On Harney Street. On the second floor.

This wasn’t the DA. Frederick Franklin was appointed as a special prosecutor.

*Frederick Franklin. He's the Omaha Ben Crump. Easy to mix the names when you know what they stand for

I wish he would have sought the help of prominent conservative media and politicians for support (financial, GoFundMe,and otherwise).
Like the Wisconsin case, this case is needed to set an example for 2a and self defense, and establish consequences for over charging for political purposes.

This sounds more like South Africa or Zimbabwe than it does America.
Sad.
Sad.

Yeah. I think the fact that they initially decided to not press charges and that it was 3 months ago didn’t put him on the front page of the newspaper.
The prosecutor added on terrorist threat charges. I’m assuming because he said some intemperate things in a text. And then some local thug tested his mettle.
The one positive is that the local thug is dead.

Another business I'll now avoid. Sorry folks, use a fund raising company that isn't run by shitheads.
