They are offering teachers $50k bonuses to come teach in OK. Just can’t teach any of their woke Marxist ideology. They need to consider revoking the bonus if they are found to be in violation.

Just dont hire them and give them a state certification to teach in that state. Problem solved. Once you are woke, taking an OK test, wont determine if you are anti woke or not. You can do the background stuff on social media to determine if they are woke or not. Some dam test wont be needed.

I wouldn’t say the right in general is insane. It’s more about this particular guy, Ryan Walters. I’m really not a fan of how he keeps politicizing education. Most people I know here don’t like him either. Honestly, education already took a dive under Fallin and then Stitt, and it’s been embarrassing to watch.

“Took a dive” is a bit of a stretch. It was never that great in the first place. But if you look at graduation rates they were 80% pre-Fallin and 90% today. Reading comprehension still sucks for elementary students. If you spend half the class period focused on 5 or 6 kids who can’t spell “cat” it slows the rest down. That’s why parents who can afford it send their kids to private schools and why Stitt approved the tax credits for families that can’t.

By having them test you are documenting it. You also are telling them what standards OK has. Now if after that you catch them its not a “I didn’t realize” or “it was my first time” excuse. You have grounds to fire them and possibly even get hiring bonus back. It will also help keep them from engaging in woke beliefs online.
The test establishes a baseline.
