No paywall
what a bunch of bullshite. A 26 year old political staffer from out of state with zero experience for the job.

Governor-elect Jeff Landry has named 26-year-old Madison Sheehan to serve as Secretary of the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. Sheehan most recently served as director of South Dakota’s Republican Party.
“She’s worked on legislation relating to wildlife, agriculture, and natural resources. She played a major role in passing one of the strongest bills in the country protecting women’s sports,” said Landry.
Landry said while former governors have appointed good friends or even past lawmakers to the position, he chose the Ohio State graduate and former rowing team member for her leadership skills.
“She served as an Ohio FFA state officer and she’s an avid hunter and fisherman,” said Landry.

I don’t know much about her beyond her being a Trump stooge with ties to Noem in SD.
She doesn’t have a wildlife conservation background at all.

She should probably choose more feminine attire for public photo shoots in the future. Also, it’s interesting his first appointment wasn’t a local, maybe real change is coming to Louisiana

No doubt she will be eaten alive by political and corporate interests. But I am rooting for her.

You ever lived in SD? I think you are far ahead of most just by that alone.
We call this the Sportsman’s Paradise and it is the trashiest place ever.

I wonder if she hunts.

Lobbyists from the oyster to pogie industry destroyed the paradise part. They’re going to make her long for SD winters.

Yeah this is not a good look of a hire. Absolutely known of her actual short work resume makes he qualified. Id kinda get it if she was born and raised in LA and left to get some experiences, but she has nothing in common with the people she will be working with.
I'm sure some out of state lesbo is going to build repore and respect amongst the ranks.

Landry has aspirations beyond the governorship. This hire is an obvious political favor.

Not his first appointment, and not his first out of state choice. He does seem to be serious about bringing new blood in. Now, it’s his new blood, so who knows what we will see.
