Maybe with enough education you could explain to people why prices got so high during the Biden administration.
In 2022 they shot up really high due panic among traders due sanctions on Russian. Biden regs and threats made traders keep it high also out of panic

A US military presence. Which is currently there and being reinforced.

It will be going right back up as the cease fire is failing

What does LOOP have to do with this? Mars comes via pipeline from Gulf of Mexico production. It is not heavy but has a high residuals, aka asphaltenes fraction.
I was talking about Venezuelan Crude. It is being reported, that the oil spill back in February off of Grand Isle was some Venezuelan crude that was being off loaded at LOOP. The oil that spilled was possibly the first batch of crude to come to the US from Venezuela and caused a hose to bust and leak crude into the Gulf of America.
Some fishermen have already lawyered up because LOOP is offering settlements without allowing fishermen access to representation or further claims.

Marathon has not been receiving Venezuelan. It has been running quite well on Mars.
My point is that the refinery is designed for high asphaltene content. It could give a shite less about WTI

A little more to it than that but it wasn't as simple as "Biden sucks and that's why gas prices are high"

Watching it drop last night was amazing. Every moment for a couple of hours, you were watching the drop occur. I stopped when it seemed to stabilize at $96 for around 90 minutes, then went to bed... wishing I was smart enough to short the market.

Traders for WTI are not necessarily oil buyers. Wall Street reacts to hype and messaging as much as to actual money. WTI is 100% a widget that does not actually exist other than a set of specifications.

Will fuel prices drop as fast as they rose?
Zero chance.
Zero chance.

shite. I said prices will be back down this summer. People could have saved themselves complete embarrassment by just listening to me.
I’ll bet you a significant sum prices are higher in the summer than they were before we started building troops in the Middle East

Will be 6 months before the price hits the gas station
The Costco by my house will drop in less than a week. They have always reacted faster to downward prices than any other station around.

Oil prices are now rising right before our eye

You mean the US force that will effectively underwrite Iran's new domination of the PG?

Am looking forward to my May production checks, as that is when the prices during the excursion will begin show up. They are always two months behind on oil and three on gas.
