I can completely understand a suburban republican not voting djt

What I can’t understand is why they are actually voting for the other aide, rather than libertarian or abstaining

The democratic platform has historically been unpopular in suburban areas

What is going on?

The Dems in Franklin voted, the Republicans didn't. They are crazy hyped about Trump.

Turnout will be a big deal in November no matter how much many republicans want to discount it.

The media's 24/7 war against Trump is def. swaying SOME people. It's an organized propaganda campaign the likes of which this country has never seen.

It's not having as big an effect as the media would like, but it's inevitable that it's doing some damage.

Kosmo, what if neither get to 50%??? Is there a runoff on this special election before the general election in 3 months?

Is there an automatic recount if it’s inside 1%?

From recall, no there will not be a run-off.

And an auto recount takes place if the margin is less than .5%.

Yes.

ETA: Aside from a recount.

This race will be called for someone.

If this holds, it looks like O'Connor will win by 2,000-2,500 votes.

This is exactly correct. Democrat enthusiasm is extremely high, probably highest it's been since Obama in 2008.

They hate Trump with a religious fervor and are showing up to vote "against" Trump.

The people who support Trump are simply not as enthusiastic and are not showing up to vote "for" Trump as he's not on the ballot.

Not true - a little scarier for Baldy after the last drop but he's still running at 57% on ED voting in Delaware. That's enough unless the last 7% of Franklin is uber liberal

Looks like they are saving the last 7% in Franklin so they know what they will need to win in the end.
