After former President Barack Obama made a stop in Columbus, Ohio, on Thursday, the wealthiest Republican donor in the state announced he is leaving the party.
"I just decided I’m no longer a Republican,” L Brands CEO Leslie Wexner said Thursday, according to The Columbus Dispatch. Wexner said he has been a Republican since joining the Young Republican Club at Ohio State.

Actually this is great news for the GOP. As the GOP slowly but surely becomes the party of the working class, i.e., Donald Trump's party, you will also see corporate Republicans jump ship to the neoliberal Democrats who today embrace these type of billionaires and corporate giants almost as much as they embrace identity politics.
You are watching the transformation of the GOP under Trump to a more populous party and by default the Democrats are embracing these mega corporations and billionaires who need and want government regulations and targeted tax rates to cock block competition from medium to small business.

but muh Jeb!

The old jumping out of the frying pan into the fire story.
Don't worry MS. Wexner, socialists love Victoria's Secret.

Must have been sort of a tend in 50s Ohio.

If that guy is a GOPe backer, I'm pleased to see him leave and hope he's the first of many. The party has been watered down with RINOs for way too long.

Obama tricked those people they never saw it coming and never had a chance.

So a #NeverTrump guy whose money sat on the sidelines (or backed HRC) in the general is leaving the party?
:wellbye:

If an Obama visit caused him to leave, well then bye.

Yahoo had this plastered on their homepage for a couple days. This is a donor who enjoys the status quo. Right now Dems seem to be his best bet for ineffectual "action."

It appears that Wexner only donates to swamp cucks, so frick him. He's of no value anyway.

Maybe, but the problem is that they take their money with them.

It's interesting watching the college educated flock to the Democrats while the poors jump to the GOP.
