My daughter graduated with honors from OU with a degree in finance. She won top honors in her senior challenge to build and present a new business idea to investors. Now she is doing the same for an $80 billion commercial real estate company. OU's Dean of the Price College of Business has invited her back as a judge in this same finals competition every year. Business leaders and alumni from across the country who attended OU and won this competition meet and it's a great networking tool for her
But this past spring, she eliminated three teams from the competition by catching them using AI to write and put together their prospectus and proposals by asking them pointed questions outlining the key provisions in their proposals. Nobody on the teams could provide the answers. This is career killing for those students to get that far in school and then fail a major part of their overall grade in front of the dean and business leaders and to be disqualified and then brought up before the academic integrity review board for plagiarism. She was upset by it because she knew how important that competition is to the final grade. Those students risked getting kicked out of the business school. It was hubris that led them to submit something that would be peer reviewed and believe somehow that they wouldn't be caught.
Kudos to this professor.

Now do it thru all Colleges and Universities.
I know of a RN's and a Engineer that recently graduated that used AI on most of there assignments. They know more about cheating and how to use AI then the course they are taken.

I am curious. Would the hidden text have been visible when you “blocked” it with the mouse to copy and paste? What if you copied it into your word processor and then changed the font to some other color that is conspicuous on a white background?
