All my sources at the top agree: Trump will attack Iran tonight, or in the next few weeks or not at all. Details to follow.
Mr. Keyes is really going out on a limb with that tweet.

We don't have to use high-cost munitions to end this. The US has a large deal with Anduril, and we have tons of drones as well. Use the military for support of drone operations, and just END this.
Most of all, stop incessantly tweeting about it

Why even tweet ambiguous bullshite like this?
"So close, and yet so far away."

If tweet fails to load, click here. Oh please, Rubio, stop trying to sell us this crap. How stupid does he think we are? Posted on 5/23/26 at 9:27 am to TroutGuy
I told you. Trump will do nothing. He's just looking for a political out with acceptable losses, which is honestly pathetic

I like Marco but he and Trump’s “it’s almost over” and “getting close to ending the war” is close to “two weeks to flatten the curve” territory.

If tweet fails to load, click here. At least this statement suggests we are sticking by our red lines. But what is Rubio smoking to make him think they will agree to it? They have made it totally clear that they won't.Posted on 5/23/26 at 9:50 am to TroutGuy

This was posted at almost the same time as Rubio’s statement.

You gotta love how they label this as BREAKING, as if something concrete actually happened rather than pure speculation on Rubio's part.

Great analogy.

Iranian official just flipped the lyrics of a Hall & Oates song... so close yet so far away.

The only thing I can think of is it is part of a plan to get the Iranian leadership to lower their guard so we can lure them into another situation where we can take out a whole bunch of them at the same time.
I know we like to portray their leadership as being idiots, but they are not that stupid.

It is subterfuge. There are all the indicators that we're about to do another round of shock and awe.

The most generous explanation I can come up with is that, since we will likely have to be launching B-2s from the US, the generals have told Trump that they need a couple more days to get things ready. The alternative is too painful to contemplate- that we have descended to the point where the nation which won WW 1 and 2 loses the will to fight a very short war over high gasoline prices. Back in WW2 people had to have gas ration cards to drive civilian vehicles at all. But we didn't back down.

BREAKING: The US and Iran are closing in on a deal that would extend their ceasefire by 60 days and lay the framework for discussions on Iran's nuclear program, mediators say. Details include: 1. This would include a "gradual reopening" of the Strait of Hormuz 2. It would also include a commitment to discussing the "diluting or handing over" of Iran's highly enrich uranium 3. The US would ease its blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and agree to sanctions relief 4. The US would also begin a phased unfreezing of Iran's assets Both sides are nearing a "memorandum of understanding" to extend a ceasefire.

I have a real hard time believing a regime that has destabilized the ME for almost 5 decades to be suddenly trustworthy....guess my cynicism - which I am truly not - is rising to the top.
It would be preferable to either complete what has begun or to totally vacate the region and pick up our assets in Europe and elsewhere on the way out.
