If this agreement is subject to the Strait re-opening, have we heard any official confirmation from anyone with power or influence in Iran who can make that call?

I am quite certain that, in exchange for playing nice with the Strait, all sanctions on Iran will be removed and they will have far more oil income after the war than before it. All while led by a regime that struck out against its neighbors in a far more insane manner than the old leader did. Hardly a satisfying result.
I do wonder whether Israel might have something to say about all this.

Trump is a goddamn retard. All this will do is allow the IRGC to regroup and get support from Russia and China and we’ll be back to where we were a month ago. A ceasefire will do absolutely nothing.

I think it’s been confirmed that Pakistan is relaying information from Trump to the regime.
My biggest question is how much of the information that Pakistan is relaying towards Trump is actually true? They have a major dog in this fight, because if Trump were to strike Iran’s power plants and they attacked KSA in retaliation, Pakistan would owe the KSA at least $3 billion. They aren’t a neutral mediator and that makes it a big problem.

There’s no way this ceasefire won’t come back to bite us in the arse. Trump is making a grave mistake to stop and let them recover and think that they won’t do something out of revenge in the future.
