Ok. Thats the strategy.
And yet Venezuela and Iran are apples and oranges.
Venezuela is not ruled by armed Radical Religious Fanatics.
Troops on the ground are not required for Venezuela.
So who assumes strategy for Venezuela works the same in Iran?

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi:
“This war must end in a way that our enemies will never think to attack us again.
I think they have learned a lesson by now and have understood what kind of nation they are facing.
We will not hesitate to defend ourselves and are ready to continue the war wherever it is and take it to wherever it will go.”

Who besides you is claiming the same strategy?
Different strategy doesn't mean boots on the ground.
We are already privy to at least three ground attacks on the IRGC and none of them have been by US boots.

JUST IN: President Trump announces MULTIPLE countries are "on the way" to secure the Strait of Hormuz
"Numerous countries have told me they're on the way. Some are very enthusiastic about it, and some aren't! Some are countries we've helped for MANY years, we've protected them."
Secure the Strait!

Have you not watched the news for the last year? He took control Venezuela and Iran. Do you know where China gets its oil from? Did you know they didn't pay full price?
Why would we let these Iranian frickers sell one drop of oil while we at war with them?

Because Trump is trying to stabilize the world economy for our prosperity, not destroy it.

Do we keep this guy around for laughs or go ahead and drop the hammer on him?

I can assure you that the liberated Iran will most certainly not be buying a plane from a European company.

Why would Trump try to cut off China's oil supply? Are we in a shooting war with China? There are many reasons why Trump would not cut off China's oil supply, scared shitless is not one of them.
Agree that we arent trying to stop China from getting oil.
China has been buying oil from Iran and Venezuela at a discounted price. After Iran is dealt with China will have to buy it on the open market at normal prices. China paying more for oil (actually the same price as everyone else) means they lose some advantage in the cost to manufacture goods.

I’ve been reliably assured by many people on this forum that the real reason we started a war with Iran was to put pressure on China.

My dear compatriots,
To you who, over the past five decades, have been victims of injustice, torture, and repression by the Islamic Republic;
To the grieving, justice-seeking mothers and fathers, daughters and sons, sisters and brothers, whose number this tyrannical regime has increased every year, every month, and every day;
Today, with pride, and in pursuit of justice for each and every one of you, I have established the Committee for Drafting for Transitional Justice Regulations.
This committee will be tasked with drafting the regulations for a truth-finding commission and court.
The members of this committee are experienced Iranian experts spanning four different generations:
Dr. Shirin Ebadi
Mr. Iraj Mesdaghi
Dr. Leyla Bahmany
and Dr. Afshin Elian.
Dr. Ebadi has accepted the chairmanship of this committee.
Additionally, a number of the most distinguished international legal scholars will assist this committee in an advisory capacity.
Transitional justice is a critical part of our program for free Iran.
The truth will be revealed.
Justice will be served.
Light will triumph over darkness.
Long live Iran,
Reza Pahlavi

BREAKING: President Trump just revealed that multiple countries are getting involved in the Strait of Hormuz but do NOT want to be named so Iran doesn't attack them
"I'd like to say their names but frankly I don't know if they would want me to or not because maybe they don't want to be targeted."
"But I say it wouldn't matter if you're targeted or not because this is a paper tiger that we're dealing with now!"
"It wasn't a paper tiger two weeks ago, it's a paper tiger now."

Are they paying market rates now?

Is that pressure, or just prices being absorbed like the rest of the world?
